Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Good placement record: Most students (around 60-90%) reported getting placed in reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Byju's, and Wipro, with an average salary package ranging from INR2.5 LPA to INR6 LPA.
* Industry-ready curriculum: The course curriculum is designed to prepare students for the industry, making them employable upon graduation.
* Supportive faculty: Many reviewers praised the faculty members, describing them as helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced.
* Good infrastructure: Although not exceptional, the infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and campus facilities, is considered satisfactory.
* Extracurricular activities: The college hosts various events, festivals, and sports competitions, providing students with a well-rounded experience.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities: Not all students may find accommodations within the campus, requiring external arrangements.
* Slow Wi-Fi speeds: A few reviewers mentioned that the Wi-Fi connectivity in labs could be improved.
* Unhelpful faculty in some cases: A minority of students felt that some faculty members lacked enthusiasm and didn't provide adequate support.

Conclusion:
While B.E/B.Tech at SAL Institute might not offer exceptional infrastructure or state-of-the-art amenities, its strong placement record, industry-ready curriculum, and supportive faculty make it a worthwhile investment for aspiring engineers. However, students should weigh these advantages against potential limitations like limited hostel facilities and slow Wi-Fi speeds.

Note: Individual responses may vary depending on personal preferences, academic backgrounds, and expectations. These findings are based on aggregated reviews and should not be taken as a guarantee of success.

The faculty is average, but the motto of the college is not good.
Placements: To be honest, at the time of admission, the college told us that big brands such as reliance come for campus interviews, but last year only Jio come for a recurring call center, as a chemical engineer no one is willing to go for a call center job. In short no placement at all.
Infrastructure: When talk about infrastructure, though college does not have any good infrastructure in terms of lab, but they are able to arrange some collaboration in terms of providing some costly software. Instead of this, lab are pretty good, but some basic necessity like AC is not provided in class.
Faculty: I think that at that time some faculty were very good with precious degrees, and their experience in various places such as GPCB was very helpful. Also, semester-wise, industrial exposure must arrange so that we can see the real world problem as well as operations.
Other: Due to my passion for chemistry, I chose to pursue this course.

I'm satisfied with the teachers, infrastructure, & facilities, and would recommend joining it.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed from the college. The highest salary package offered is around 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. Top roles offered to students are coder and programmer.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure. There is a canteen for students and faculty members. It is a good campus with proper sports facilities. There is no Wi-Fi facility in our college. The college campus is huge and has an awesome classroom infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, and all are highly qualified. They all are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality in our college is the best. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to become a game developer and make games.

The infrastructure is good, but I am not much satisfied with the facilities.
Placements: In our batch, 3 to 4% of students got placed in chemical companies. Neo Chem, Visudhajivam Pvt. Ltd., and other petroleum and chemical companies are the top recruiters. The average package offered in our course is 15,000 to 20,000 per month. 50 to 60% of students got internships in companies like Gujarat Petroleum and ONGC. Design of pipe, pressure vessel, heat exchanger network, and operation of plant equipment, etc., are the roles offered in the industry.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are big. The library is huge and has course-related books and other technical knowledgeable books. There are three labs in our institute. One is the chemical lab for lab-scale experiment, and the other two labs have equipment like a packed tower, heater, distillation column, centrifugal tank etc. The institute has a huge sports ground for sports like football, basketball, cricket, badminton, volleyball etc. It also has a big canteen with different food items.
Faculty: The teachers in our institute are well qualified and experienced. They are very helpful and supportive. Their teaching skills needed to be improved. Some teachers have poor teaching quality. The teachers guide us in projects and term works. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students ready for industry.
Other: A sports week, annual function, and tech fest are organized on campus.

The college has bad facilities and staff members.
Placements: The lowest salary is offered by a non-technical company. Fewer students participate in placements of our college.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide hostel facilities. There is a library, but staff members are not responding to students. Books are also not available in the library. Our branch in practical is not accurate with facility and instrument.
Faculty: Staff members in our college are helpful but not accurate.
Other: Our college does not provide scholarships for students.

Our college provides very less placements and less facilities in the classroom.
Placements: Mostly non-technical jobs are offered here. About 10% of the students are getting placed with a salary ranges between Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 per month, while 2% of the students are joining technical jobs. They are trying to loot us and never think about students. There are many courses, but there are no enough admissions in our college. So they combined the Institute of Technical and SAL college.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't provide hostel facility, and the equipment is very poor and doesn't work in any laboratory. They will tell you to buy equipment for your project as they don't provide any equipment. If you broke something, they would collect extra charges for them. They also collect charge for bonafide, i.e., Rs. 20.
Faculty: Faculty members here don't have much knowledge. They hire teachers with a minimum salary package, which is not good. They are not qualified to make students industry-ready, but we have the ability to do anything.
Other: I have chosen this course as it is the best field for the future. I wish that our college should provide technical skill for study. Events organised are not good here.
