Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Good placement record: Most students (around 60-90%) reported getting placed in reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Byju's, and Wipro, with an average salary package ranging from INR2.5 LPA to INR6 LPA.
* Industry-ready curriculum: The course curriculum is designed to prepare students for the industry, making them employable upon graduation.
* Supportive faculty: Many reviewers praised the faculty members, describing them as helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced.
* Good infrastructure: Although not exceptional, the infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and campus facilities, is considered satisfactory.
* Extracurricular activities: The college hosts various events, festivals, and sports competitions, providing students with a well-rounded experience.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities: Not all students may find accommodations within the campus, requiring external arrangements.
* Slow Wi-Fi speeds: A few reviewers mentioned that the Wi-Fi connectivity in labs could be improved.
* Unhelpful faculty in some cases: A minority of students felt that some faculty members lacked enthusiasm and didn't provide adequate support.

Conclusion:
While B.E/B.Tech at SAL Institute might not offer exceptional infrastructure or state-of-the-art amenities, its strong placement record, industry-ready curriculum, and supportive faculty make it a worthwhile investment for aspiring engineers. However, students should weigh these advantages against potential limitations like limited hostel facilities and slow Wi-Fi speeds.

Note: Individual responses may vary depending on personal preferences, academic backgrounds, and expectations. These findings are based on aggregated reviews and should not be taken as a guarantee of success.

I would suggest not to take admission in this college.
Placements: Only 2-3 companies visited our college. I think the highest salary package offered is around 2 LPA. I suggest others not to take admission in this college. I am in the civil engineering branch, and I think only one company visited the college in our 4 years of college life.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very poor. Receptionist don't know which building is actually located in the college. The building structure is the worst. The new building is built, but admissions are not actually conducted, so seats are vacant. Canteen is very poor.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good and supportive, but some of them don't know what they are teaching. Lab faculty members do not have knowledge about any practical. Some faculty members are here as they only need jobs, and college needs their vacant faculty members. So it's the worst.
Other: Students are always seen in the football ground. Navaratri is best as well as day celebration is also done here.

Review of SAL Institute of Technology and Engineering Research.
Placements: Not less than 55% of the students got placed in civil engineering. The lowest salary package offered was around 2 LPA and the highest salary package offered ranges from 4.5 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies in BE civil were Hi-Tech Group, Sadbhav Group, Indian Navy and Army, and many more. Internships were based on students' field knowledge and their software knowledge in any company. It also depends on how well students know their field and their basic information. Roles offered in civil were as a project manager, site engineer, and if students know any kind of software like Auto-Cad, Revit Structure, or Revit architecture, E-tabs then they were offered roles as site designers or assistant for structure designing.
Infrastructure: In our institute, almost all the latest facilities were available. We had air-conditioned classrooms, labs were fulfilled with the all required instruments, a huge library was located in our college. In SAL, there were two libraries in two different locations. In one of the libraries, we can get all the books if we don't want to buy the book from outside. We also got many of our subject related books in the library based on a card system. Students can issue a book for 15 days from the library and later we had to go to the library to renew the booking date for our selected time. Our computer labs were also wonderful. An ecofriendly atmosphere was maintained. We also had a huge cricket ground and basketball ground. When I started studying in SAL Education in 2015, our canteen was reconstructed and our new canteen was larger than the old one and it also had a good sitting arrangement. The canteen garden was the photogenic location for students. The food served was delicious and also a 24-hour cold water system available. Our college is the winner or a 1st runner up in football and kho-kho every year. Our sports training was too strict we had to go at 6 o'clock for a warmup session. Even medical facilities were good. The hostel was located behind the canteen and also a new hostel was under construction. New students can enjoy living in because hostel rooms are fulfilled with friendly and good atmosphere and lighten color which gives the positive vibes and freshness every morning.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were the best. They were qualified with masters or Ph.D. Students who can approach them to clear their doubts at any time without hesitation. The course curriculum helps students to be industry-ready because we can learn surveying, construction knowledge, water and waste system, fluid management, and many more during 4year.
Other: I chose this course because I want to learn designing, management, and wastewater system and I learned it very well. After studying civil engineering I rise my knowledge in this field and also learn many more subjects like environment and traffic engineering. SAL college was very famous for its big successful events, youth fest, and especially for Navratri. In our college, you can see unity among students. Scholarships were also available for students around Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 10,000. Students can celebrate days like GTU youthfest, GTU Techfest, freshers day, farewell party, and panache night (annual function). All the events are celebrated on a grand basis. Even I also participate in event management when I was studying there. Every time I and our team organised all the functions and encourage new teenagers to participate in it.

SAI education is quality and affordable for everyone.
Placements: There were a large number of chances for placement offers for each and every student. There were always 60-70 students getting placed through campus in Sal Engineering College. A large number of private companies related to civil engineering came for placements.
Infrastructure: There were several facilities available for students' studies at SAI Engineering College. A large number of cultural programs were organized in the college for the overall development of students in cultural activities. There was also a playground and gym available for students.
Faculty: There was one teacher available per ten students. Teachers at SAI Engineering College are very experienced and qualified. They have an average of almost 12 years of experience in this field. Two mid-semester exams were conducted by the Civil Department each and every semester.
Other: I have always been interested in practical work, and my course, Civil Engineering, is known for practical work, contributing to the country's overall growth and development. The Civil Department is always called the evergreen branch.

I told to other students that not to take admissions in this college.
Placements: I study in sal college of engineering. But in last semester students were merged in sal institutes of technology and research. Why should college merged in this college we don't know. This college facility is very bad and staff are also less educated.
Infrastructure: I leave in shree shurashtra patel kelvani mandal near gulbai tekra, Ahmedabad. This hostel accepted those students who are coming from leva patel category. The hostel atmosphere is very good and also food quality is good. There are about 1200 students live in this hostel.
Faculty: A faculty of sal institutes of technical and engineering research was moderate compared to other college. But yes classroom of this college is very good and also regularly cleaned. A very few staff are available in this college and also very less experienced.
Other: I choose this civil course because I get about knowledge this branch. 5000 students are studying in sal college of engineering and other two college in many different branches. The atmosphere of this college is very bad and need improvement for the students. Students help section faculty are very rudely behaving.

I'm dissatisfied because of the management committee.
Placements: Placements in the college are not good enough. Companies that visit for placements are not well known or satisfactory. The offers by the companies are also not satisfactory. No international companies have visited for placements in our college or even in the campus.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in the college are good for studies with air conditioners enabled in most of them. The library is very broad with lots of books, but all the books there are old, and it requires to add some new books every year. Cricket & football grounds are very big and good.
Faculty: There are many faculty members in the college. Some of them don't provide satisfactory teaching. The teachers have completed their PhDs. They are always very helpful to us. Teaching quality was not very good, but I can rate it 6 out 10. There should be 1 teacher assigned to 60-70 students.
Other: Events conducted in the college are not very good. There should be a techfest organised every year. Extracurricular activities are very bad.
