NIFT (Lateral) 2025
NIFT Lateral Entry Admission 2025 - NTA started the admission process for NLEA 2025 with application process on November 22, 2024. The NLEA 2025 entrance exam will be conducted on February 9, 2025. The written exam will include a General Ability Test (GAT). NIFT (Lateral) 2025 admit card has been released today (February 4). Candidates can download their admit cards by using application ID and date of birth.

Q: When will NIFT 2025 admit card be released for written exams?
Q: Where can I download the NIFT 2025 admit card?
The admit card for the NIFT 2025 exam has to be downloaded online from the NTA NIFT admission portal - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. In.
Note that hard copies of the admit card will not be sent to the candidate.
So, the candidate needs to log-in to the admit card download portal using their log-in details and download the admit card pdf. After downloading the admit card, the candidate needs to take a printout. On the day of the exam, the candidate will have to display the admit card along with a valid photo id proof in the original. No candidate will be allowed inside the exam venue without the admit card.
Also, note that digital copies of the admit card will not be accepted.
Q: Can I appear in the NIFT 2025 without the admit card?
NIFT admit card 2025 is a mandatory document to appear in the design entrance exam. Candidates need to positively carry their valid admit card for NIFT Entrance Exam to their test centre, otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for the design entrance exam. Note that the security personnel at the exam centre will check the documents carried by the candidate, including the admit and photo id cards. In fact, the candidate must safely preserve the admit card until the admission process is over. It is because the candidate may be asked to produce the admit card during the counseing and seat-allotment process.
Under the NLEA scheme, candidates will be considered for admission directly into the 3rd semester. For regular admission, candidates need to apply for NIFT 2025.

NIFT Lateral Entry Admission 2025
Under the NLEA admission scheme, eligible candidates will be considered for admission directly to the 3rd semester of the UG program of NIFT.
The NLEA admission route is open for candidates who have completed their Diploma in a relevant or related field of Design & Technology. Interested candidates will have to appear for NIFT entrance examination to get lateral admission.
NLEA 2025 admission will be merit-based.
Candidates selected through lateral entry will join the regular UG students of NIFT in their second year.

The application form for NLEA 2025 closed on January 6, 2025
Candidates meeting the program-wise eligibility criteria to apply had to follow the steps given below:
- Register for the exam - The candidate can register for the NIFT 2025 exam using their Aadhaar details. On successful registration, a candidate account will be created.
- Log-in to fill out the form - The candidate has to log in to the account and fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
- Select test center - The candidate has to next select an exam city from the drop-down list. The entries must be in the order of priority.
- Upload documents - Follow the document specifications when uploading the documents.
- Pay the application fee to complete the application process.

To check your results, you need to go the result portal and log-in using you candidate credentials.
The written exam results will be used to shortlist candidates for a Studio Test/ PI (B.Des) / Technical Ability Test/ PI.
NIFT 2025 - NLEA Counseling
The counseling and seat allotment for NLEA 2025 will be conducted after the declaration of the results.
Registration for counseling will start around June 2025.
Candidates will be considered for seat allotment based on their merit rank in the NIFT NLEA 2025 entrance exam.
Upon seat allotment, the candidate will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee and confirm their admission. If the fee is not paid by the given deadline, the allotment can be cancelled.
