COMEDK UGET 2018 scores as well as ranks were declared on the late evening of May 27. The top 10 ranks in COMEDK UGET 2018 has been secured by male candidates, and of them, three ranks have been bagged by Bengaluru-based students. This year, 3,955 of the top 5,000 rank holders have secured more than 70% marks, while 1,045 of the top 5,000 rank holders have secured between 67.78% and 70%. According to latest information, out of the first 100 rank holders in COMED-K UGET 2018, 42 are from Karnataka while the remaining 58 are from different states of the country. In the Top 1000 ranks, just 284 of the rank holders are from the state while the remaining 716 are from other states.
Durbha Aditya, a student of NPS (National Public School), HSR Layout, has topped the exam with an All India Rank (AIR) 1. He scored 168 out of the maximum of 180 marks. The second rank has been secured by Unmesh Roy from Jharkhand and the third by TVD Adithya from East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. Nikhil S Pai and Pratik Sanjay Bhirud are at the fifth and sixth place respectively.

Interested in pursuing artificial intelligence, Durbha Aditya started preparing for the exam from the start of his 12th grade. He used to study every day for three hours, and when the exams came close it went on to eight hours a day.
The second topper, Unmesh Roy, aims to specialize in Computer Science. He was quoted as saying, "I was hoping for a good score but didn’t expect to be in the top 10. I have been preparing for all the entrance exams for the past two years", to a national daily.
