The exam is conducted yearly to offer admissions to postgraduate courses, such as M.E, M.Tech, and PhD courses in India's top tech institutes, IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs. The GATE application forms have been released at the GOAPS portal. The last date to submit the GATE 2025 application form was September 26, 2024 (without late fees) which is now been extended till October 3, 2024 (11:59). Candidates must ensure that they meet the minimum eligibility requirements of the GATE 2025 exam before filling out the GATE 2025 application form.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for admission to Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), and direct PhD programs in engineering, architecture, and related branches of science.

Q: What are passing marks in GATE exam?
Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. GATE 2025 Supporting Documents
Candidates must submit the degree certificate/provisional certificate/ course completion certificate/ professional certificate/ membership certificate issued by the institute or society they are enrolled in for the degree programme.
In case a candidate is in the final year of the program, he/she has to upload a certificate from the head of the department/institute or a copy of the marks sheet for section A of AMIE. The HOD should sign this certificate with the current date.
