The IIT Kanpur cutoff 2017 was released for various categories, including General, OBC, ST, SC, EWS and PWD for admission to the BTech programmes. IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2017 For General All India Category 

During the IIT Kanpur cutoff 2017, the Round 1 cutoff for BTech ranged between 225 and 4860. The Last Round cutoff for the same ranged from 230 to 5433. Analysing both rounds, CSE has the lowest cutoff compared to other BTech specialisations. Details are tabulated below:

IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2017 For OBC All India Category 

For the OBC ALL India category candidates, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks for BTech in CSE were 115 and 116, respectively. CSE has the lowest cutoff ranks as compared to other BTech specialisations. 

Q:   What is the JEE Advanced cut off for BTech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kanpur?

A:

For 2023, cut off was 2940 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in IIT Kanpur - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 6999 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

A:

IIT Kanpur cutoff 2023 ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur other than General category are mentioned below: 

  • 146 for OBC
  • 77 for SC
  • 41 for ST
  • 47 for EWS
  • 13 for PWD

While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Q:   What has been the trend for cut off in BTech in Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur?

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Kanpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 1368. In 2023, it decreased to 1349. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 696 to 788 for OBC, 410 to 581 for SC, 269 to 202 for ST, 287 to 279 for EWS, 109 to 169 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

Among all the BTech courses, Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive specialisation, followed by Mechanical Engineering. IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2017 For PWD All India Category 

For the PWD category candidates, the cutoff was released for several BTech courses, among which, CSE was the most competitive specialisation. During the IIT Kanpur cutoff 2017, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing rank for CSE stood at 5 for the PWD category students. 

Q:   What GATE score is required for M.Tech admission at IIT Kanpur?

A:

As per the details collated from various sources on the internet, a student must have a GATE rank up to 200 or below for admission to M.Tech at IIT Kanpur.  While there is no minimum GATE score for IIT admission, the minimum rank/ score requirement depends completely on the individual institutes participating in the admission process. However, keeping the past cut off trends in mind, candidates must score a GATE rank of up to or below 200 and their minimum GATE score must be between 400-800. The closing ranks of GATE COAP 2022 for the General All India category are as follows:

A:

IIT Kanpur BTech cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 248 and, 10037 for the General AII India category students. Among all the BTech specialisations, BTech in CSE is the most competitive specialisation. The Last Round for Computer Science and Engineering is 248 for the General AI category.

A:

IIT Indore BTech cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 1354 and, 10094 for the General AII India category students. Among all the BTech specialisations, BTech in CSE is the most competitive specialisation. So, considering the round 1 cutoff, candidates seeking admission to Indian Institute of Technology Indore must secure a maximum rank upto 10094.

Q:   What has been the trend for cut off in BTech in Chemical Engineering in IIT Kanpur?

A:

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Kanpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 4649. In 2023, it decreased to 4344. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2034 to 2208 for OBC, 1281 to 1139 for SC, 678 to 706 for ST, 762 to 758 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

A:

IIT Kanpur cutoff 2023 was 6116 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Civil Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 12621 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
