This year, Ved Lahoti of IIT Delhi zone is the top ranker in the Common Rank List (CRL). He obtained 355 out of 360 marks. Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel of IIT Bombay zone is the top-ranked female candidate with CRL 7. She obtained 332 out of 360 marks. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be held ion May 18. JEE Advanced 2025 will be conducted by IIT Kanpur. JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates who achieve rank among the top 2.5 lakh candidates could apply for JEE Advanced exam. Candidates can appear in JEE Advanced two consecutive times. JEE Advanced 2025 will be held in CBT mode and there will be 2 papers. Each paper will have 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates had to attempt both papers 1 and 2 to be eligible for admission to the IITs.

Q:   Which IIT will conduct JEE Advanced 2025?

A:

IIT Kanpur will conduct JEE Advanced 2025 exam in May 2025. The exam is conducted by any one of the 7 IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Each IIT gets chance to conduct JEE Advanced exam on rotation basis.

The difficulty level of JEE Advanced will completely depend on the preparation of the candidates for the exam. JEE Advanced is known to be difficult. Last year, JEE Advanced witnessed a total number of 1,80,200 candidates appearing in both papers 1 and 2. In the exam, 48,248 candidates have been qualified. This data shows that the exam is a tough nut to crack. Therefore, the preparation should be strong. Aspirants should practice daily, take mocktests, revise all concepts and leave no topics from the JEE Advanced syllabus.

JEE Advanced 2024 Rank List - Criteria for Inclusion in Rank List 

To be eligible for ranking and inclusion in the common rank list of JEE Advanced 2024, candidates must have achieved the below marks in each subject and the overall paper.

Q:   Is watch allowed in JEE Advanced exam centre?

A:

No. A watch timer of 3 hours will be available on the computer screen of all the candidates to monitor thir exam timing. A candidate cannot carry or wear a atch inside the exam hall. Also, candidates cannot carry mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones,  microphones, pagers, health bands or any other electronic gadgets, any printed/blank/hand written paper, log tables, writing pads, scales, eraser,  geometry/pencil-boxes, pouches, calculators, pen drives, electronic pens/Scanner, wallets, handbags, camera, goggles or similar such items.

Q:   In how many cities will JEE Advanced exam be held?

A:

JEE Advanced 2025 will be held in 222 cities in India and 2 foreign centres.

Q:   Do I need to follow any dress code at the JEE Advanced exam centre?

A:

Yes, as per the official instructions of JEE Advanced, candidates are advised NOT to wear charm/taweez, items containing metals such as ring, bracelet, earrings, nose pin, chain/necklace, pendant, badge,  brooch, clothes with big buttons. They are also advised to wear open footwear like chappals and sandals.

Q:   What are the timings of JEE Advanced exam?

A:

JEE Advanced 2025 will be held on May 18. JEE Advanced exam has two papers, each containing three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Paper 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The exam will be held in CBT mode across centres across 222 cities in India and 2 cities abroad.

Q:   What is the GATE closing time of the JEE Advanced exam centre?

A:

The main entrance of the JEE Advanced examination centre will be closed at 9 am for Paper 1 and at 2:30 pm for Paper 2.

No, there is no oecentile marks. The marks in JEE Advanced result is the raw marks scored by the candidates. The marks are simply calculated using the making scheme of the exam and is totalled to get the aggregate marks scored by the candidates. This marks form the basis of the JEE Advanced ranks.
