They are also advised to wear open footwear like chappals and sandals.
Q: How to take boards and JEE Advanced preparations together?
Preparing for both the Board Exams and JEE Advanced simultaneously can be challenging, but with careful planning, it is definitely achievable. Since both exams are crucial and require a significant amount of effort, balancing the preparation for both requires a strategic approach. Here are some tips on how to effectively manage the preparation for both:
- The syllabus for JEE Advanced overlaps significantly with the Board Exams syllabus, particularly for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. This overlap means that much of your preparation for JEE will also help in your Board Exams. Focus on the common topics, but be mindful that JEE requires a deeper understanding and problem-solving approach, while the Boards might emphasize theory and application in a simpler context.
- Create a study timetable where you allocate specific slots for JEE Advanced preparation and separate time for Board Exam preparation. Both should be balanced.
- For JEE Advanced, focus on problem-solving, concept application, and deep understanding of subjects.
- For Boards, focus more on theory, understanding basic concepts, and memorizing key formulas and definitions.
- When the Board Exams approach, shift your focus slightly towards theory-based preparation and ensure you revise your class notes, previous years' papers, and important questions.
- When JEE Advanced is closer, spend more time solving problems, taking mock tests, and focusing on topics that require deeper analysis and critical thinking.
- Focus on mastering fundamentals since both exams require strong foundational knowledge. A clear understanding of basic concepts will make it easier for you to solve complex problems for JEE Advanced and answer theory-based questions for the Boards.
Q: Is the JEE Advanced exam held outside India too?
Yes, JEE Advanced 2025 will be held in 2 fireign cities - Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be held across 222 cities in India.
Q: What is the JEE Advanced tie breaking policy?
If the JEE Advanced aggregate marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, then the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks: Step 1: Candidates having higher positive marks will be awarded higher rank. If the tie breaking criterion at Step 1 fails to break the tie, then the following criterion at Step 2 will be followed. Step 2: Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Mathematics. If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Physics. If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.
