Knowing the JEE Main exam pattern 2023 is very essential during the preparation process. Candidates can refer to the detailed exam pattern given in the table.
Q: How many questions are asked in JEE Main exam?
Q: Do I need to attempt all the questions in JEE Main exam?
Yes, it is compulsory to attempt all the question in exam. Students need to attempt a total of 75 questions in the exam. Students are advised to attempt only those questions for which they can arrive at the answer/solutions. Questions for which the answer is not sure should be left as incorrect answer would lead to negative marking. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.
Q: What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?
The JEE Main question paper will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as per the prescribed syllabus. Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. For each question in Section B.A. Candidate has to enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer. For Section B, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

How to Calculate Scores Using JEE Main 2023 Answer Key Session 2?
Using the answer key of JEE Main 2023 April, the candidates can calculate their obtained scores before the result is announced. Candidates can follow the given steps to calculate their scores using the JEE Main 2023 answer key.

It is advised that students should solve at least previous 10 year question papers of JEE Main.
