As stated by press release, Chandigarh's Kunwar Preet Singh aced the Joint Entrance Exam Main 2020 exam from the Union Territory with 99.9972 percentile. Exam authority NTA declared JEE Main 2020 results Friday evening for January session. Singh is amongst the top scorers in JEE Main 2020 entrance exam conducted between January 6-9.

JEE Main entrance exam is conducted twice a year in two sessions i.e January and April for admission to various courses such as BE/BTech in 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 25 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and 28 centrally funded technical institutes. Approximately 9,21,261 students registered to appear in the JEE Main 2020 January session entrance test.

Candidates who are not satisfied with their performance in the JEE Main 2020 exam January session can again sit for it in April attempt, as the best score is counted. After the declaration of both the result of each session, NTA will releas the final eligibility list, based on which candidates appear for the JEE Advanced. Only the top 1.5 lakh eligible students will be able to sit for the JEE Advanced, for selection to the IITs.
