It will be very beneficial if you start making short notes of all the subjects from the starting of your preparation, from them you can revise more content in lesser time and that will give you confidence.

When preparing for JEE Mains:

  • Your study plan and time table should be set in such a manner that most of your study time should fall in the daytime. You should not study the same subject for a long time, continuously. That can make you feel bored and decrease your efficiency in studies. You should change the subject every two hours.
  • Time management is an important aspect of preparing for JEE. You cannot afford to waste your time. You have to make the most out of the time you are getting. Having a good sleep and a good diet throughout the preparation will increase your efficiency. Sleep time should not be less than six hours and should not exceed eight hours.
  • You can take a power nap during a break. Avoid wasting time in hangouts with friends. Also, during the exam, time management is a must. You should start with the subject you are most strong at, avoiding the questions which seem lengthy. After completing one round, you can come again on those questions if you have some time left.
  • In the last week, you should focus more on increasing your problem-solving speed. Sometimes when you spend more time on revision then due to less practice you lose your speed and face problems during the exam. You have to accept that you cannot cover the entire syllabus in the last minutes, you should leave the topics in which you are very weak and the topics that are going to fetch you low marks. You should revise from short notes if you have them. In your last days, you have to focus more on high scoring topics from all the subjects.
  • In Physics, current electricity, electrostatics, optics, work energy power, thermodynamics and collision are important. In mathematics, integration, complex numbers, vector algebra, 3D geometry, coordinate geometry are important. In chemistry, the important topics are chemical bonding, p-block, thermodynamics and alcohol phenol ether. For chemistry, studying NCERT book is very important.
  • Many students have doubts about Class 12th along with JEE preparation, for that, you should solve and study NCERT books of Physics, Chemistry and Maths thoroughly.

The key is to spend time on solving more and more questions and increasing your speed.
