WBJEE 2024 Preparation Tips

Some of the important preparation tips of WBJEE 2024 are listed below.

Set a clear goal

This is one of the most crucial steps involved in the study plan for the WBJEE 2024 exam. The maximum attainable score in WBJEE is 200 out of 200. Before a candidate begins with their WBJEE exam preparation, they should be very clear about their goal. For instance, a candidate can set a goal that he/she wants to score 150 out of 200 in the WBJEE exam. It is said that “things that are measured can be achieved more easily.” The reason is that one tends to evaluate their performance at every step.

Q:   Where can I check the WBJEE 2025 dates?

A:

The authorities have released the WBJEE 2025 exam date online at wbjeeb.nic.in. The details regarding the timeline of important events i.e, application, correction facility, admit card and examination are released through the WBJEE exam dates 2025. All candidates are advised to check and stay updated with the WBJEE dates so that they do not miss out any important events. WBJEE 2025 result and counselling dates will be announced soon.

Q:   When will WBJEE 2025 be held?

A:

While filling out the WBJEE application form, the candidates will have to select their preferred exam city preferences. WBJEE will be of 4 hours in duration and the candidates will have to attempt two papers - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry).

Q:   Have the WBJEE 2025 exam centres been announced?

A:

No, the authorities have not yet announced the WBJEE 2025 exam centres. The list of centre where the examination will be held is expected to be released soon online at wbjeeb.nic.in. The authorities are expected to conduct WBJEE 2025 in 50 zones (48 in West Bengal, 1 in Assam and Tripura each). In the previous year, WBJEE was conducted in 328 exam centres. Allotment of exam centres will be done based on the candidate's preferences submitted in the WBJEE application form.

Start your exam preparation early

It is always better to start the exam preparation early instead of waiting for it to be right on the corner. This is intended for candidates to have a better understanding of concepts involved in topics enlisted in the WBJEE syllabus.

Prepare a timetable

One of the effective methods of maintaining discipline while studying is to prepare a study timetable. By having a timetable, the candidates will be able to divide and allot their time equally to all subjects and topics. This will help the candidates complete the syllabus before the examination and allot them time to revise.

Study from recommended WBJEE preparation books

There are quite a few books available in the market that will help the candidates in the WBJEE exam preparation. Candidates can pick books for both theory and practice problems. Preparing by checking the best references is one of the important points listed in the study plan for WBJEE. This will surely help the WBJEE candidate to obtain a better score in the exam.

Q:   Where can I check my allotted WBJEE exam centre?

A:

The authorities will release the details regarding the allotted exam centre through the WBJEE admit card. Once the admit card is downloaded, the address and other important information about the allotted WBJEE exam centre will be available on the admit card. The address present in the exam centre has to be checked carefully since the candidates will have to be present on time on the examination date. Candidates are advised to visit the venue a day before the examination to know the directions and area.

Q:   How will I know if there are any changes in the WBJEE dates?

A:

In case of any changes in the WBJEE dates, the authorities will make the announcement online i.e., at wbjeeb.nic.in. The authorities will use no other mode to declare any changes in the announced dates of WBJEE. Candidates are advised to keep checking the WBJEE exam dates page for any updated information. WBJEE 2025 exam date has not been announced by the authorities yet. Through the WBJEE dates, the candidates will be able to know when the various examination and admission events will be held.

Q:   Are calculators allowed inside the WBJEE exam centre?

A:

No. The authorities do not allow calculators inside the WBJEE exam centre. As per the WBJEE exam guidelines, any type of electronic device will be strictly prohibited at the examination centre. Candidates are advised to be careful since they will be disqualified if they are caught with any prohibited item. No eatables and drinks will be allowed inside the examination centre. Before reporting at the examination centre, the candidates are advised to check the official examination guidelines.

Q:   I am not a West Bengal candidate. How should I select my WBJEE exam centres?

A:

Candidates who do not belong to West Bengal will have to choose their three preferred WBJEE exam zones from the available options - Howrah (Salkia/ Bally/ Uttarpara), Kolkata Salt Lake/ New Town (Salt Lake/ Lake Town/ New Town/ Rajar Hat, South Kolkata (Ballygaunge/ Into Park/ Bhowanipore/ Tollygaunge/ Jadavpur), West Kolkata (Joka/ Behala/ Alipore/ Chetla/ Khidirpore/ Budge), Paschim Burdwan (Asansol) and Paschim Burdwan (Durgapur). More details about the WBJEE exam centres will be released online by the authorities.

Q:   Will WBJEE 2025 be postponed?

A:

The authorities have not yet postponed the WBJEE 2025 exam. WBJEE 2025 will be conducted at various examination centres as a pen-and-paper-based test on April 27, 2025. Once the application process begins, the candidates will be advised to complete registration and fill out their details as soon as possible. WBJEE 2025 will consist of multiple-choice questions prepared from topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Make notes

Preparing important and appropriate theory notes is going to help the candidates a lot in their WBJEE exam preparation. Preparing notes will help the candidates during the last-minute revision. Since it will not be easy to go through the complete chapter as they will have limited time left, notes will serve the purpose of revision by providing them with the crux of the matter or important pointers from the chapter.

Revision is a must

Several topics in the WBJEE syllabus require regular revision.  Candidates will easily lose hold on such topics when not revised regularly. They can refer to notes whenever they want to revise certain topics instead of going through the complete chapter; which is also a time-consuming and lengthy process.

Attempt mock tests and previous years' papers

Mock tests will help candidates become familiar with the WBJEE 2024 exam pattern. Through the mock test, the candidates will be able to know the nature of the questions that the WBJEE question paper will consist of. Mock tests are also helpful in improving time management skills. The previous years' WBJEE question papers can also be solved to understand the subject weightage and commonly asked questions.

By following the WBJEE 2024 preparation tips and study plan, the candidates will have higher chances of securing the scores that they want for admission into their preferred courses and colleges. WBJEE 2024 is an important examination and the candidates need to be well prepared for it.
