Satisfied with placements, faculty members, infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: It is the best college for placements in the entire Mumbai. Companies which come here offer good annual packages to the students. Nearly 30-40% of students get an opportunity who fulfills their criteria. So, many students get a package of 4 to 5 LPA, on average. Top companies like Godrej, L&T, etc., come here for placements. Site engineers and other roles are offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of VJTI college is the best and old. Most of the structural designs are made with stones as it was established in 1887. All the labs are good and have good working PCs and air-conditioners. Wi-Fi is available near the internet lab. The library has more than sufficient books. There are hostels for girls and boys, which is the best thing for those from out of Mumbai. A mess is also available.
Faculty: The teachers in VJTI College help students to solve their doubts as well as guide them for their careers. Most of the teachers have completed their PhDs and have great knowledge. Some of the teachers get angry if students misbehave, but it is okay for the bright future of students. Since it is an autonomous college, it designs its own course curriculum, and it is very relevant for the particular field. Students get knowledge about the industries and fields effectively.
Other: I will say the batch I was in probably was the best batch. All the faculty and students were helpful at their best. The course I chose is civil engineering, and it is a good course for the better and developed tomorrow. The best thing about it is it gives extraordinary knowledge about all the structures which can be established. More practical knowledge should be provided for a better understanding. There are lots of events and fests conducted in the college, like Pratibimb, Technovanza etc. Extracurricular activities are also conducted.

Other: The best college for engineering in Mumbai after IITB, with awesome faculty members. The campus is also great. We had a very nice hostel facility also on the campus itself. There are nice and huge playgrounds, advanced laboratories, and an overall great infrastructure are the musts for any institute and no doubt VJTI has the best of everything. The placements are very good. All the renowned companies come for placements and students entering VJTI surely have a very bright future. It is situated in Matunga, so it’s convenient to go there by trains. It’s in a central location of Mumbai and convenient to reach. Technical festivals like Technovanza are arranged at the intercollegiate level and are really great. The cultural fest is also very well celebrated.

You can take admission in civil engineering either you have a Diploma in civil engineering or you have passed 12th class with PCM. You can't take admission directly after 10th class. All the best.

Hello Gufran, DTE of Tech Education of Maharashtra has a very transparent procedure. A student has to apply online only and depending on marks obtained in 10th, ranking is given. Based on this ranking, students get admission for diploma in different colleges. But no, it's only online.
