KEAM 2025 Counselling: The KEAM counselling is held in online mode on the official website of CEE, cee.kerala.gov.in. CEE will release the KEAM counselling 2025 dates on the official website after the KEAM 2025 results are out. The candidates become eligible for KEAM 2025 counselling if their names appear in the KEAM rank list 2025 for Engineering / Architecture / BPPharm / Medical & Medical Allied / Ayurveda courses admissions. The counselling is held online only, but the spot counselling round is held offline. Candidates who do not have access to Internet facilities can use the facility provided free of cost, by the Government at various centres across the state. ‘Facilitation Centres’ (FC) will be opened across the state during a specified period for the candidates who need assistance registering their options.

KEAM CAP 2025 process includes KEAM option registration, rearrangement of options if needed, printing the final option list, provisional allotment, final KEAM seat allotment result publication, payment of option confirmation fee and final admission by reporting to the allotted college. It is expected that KEAM 2025 CAP will have 3 rounds and 1 mop-up round. KEAM 2025 cutoff (last rank) details are published after each allotment and are made available on the website. KEAM 2025 counselling schedule will be announced after the result is out. CEE will hold the KEAM counselling online only. Through KEAM 2025 counselling, candidates can seek admission into the KEAM participating colleges. Eligible candidates will be allotted seats through KEAM counselling 2025 on the basis of the KEAM rank list, marks data entered and availability of seats in a particular college. What is KEAM Counselling?

The KEAM Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) is a complete online Single Window System (SWS) to give allotments to the various courses and colleges under the Engineering / Architecture / Pharmacy / Medical streams in the state, based on the options submitted by the candidates. The KEAM CAP is strictly based on the options exercised, the rank obtained and the applicable reservations of the candidate.

Q:   What is the admission criteria in engineering colleges - KEAM score or KEAM rank?

A:

Admission is made based on KEAM ranks and not the scores. The scores are used to assign ranks to the candidates. KEAM scores with 10+2 standardised scores are used in the weightage of 50:50 to assign ranks. The KEAM 2024 rank lists PDF will be published separately for Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharma MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BSMS / BUMS / Agriculture / Forestry / Veterinary / Co-operation & Banking / Climate Change & Environmental Science / B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU) / Fisheries and B.A. MS will be published.

KEAM Counselling 2025 Option Registration

KEAM 2025 options can be registered only through the website, cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates will have to register their options in a single stream or multiple streams (based on their eligibility) in the ‘Option Registration Page’ accessible through the KEAM 2025 candidate portal. Candidates have to register their options for courses and colleges in the order of priority. Options submitted to the CEE by Fax, Post, Hand delivery etc., will not be processed or considered on any account for allotment of seats.

KEAM Counselling 2025 Trial Allotments

KEAM trial allotments help the candidates understand whether they can get the college and course of their choice in CAP.  CEE will conduct the trial allotment before the closure of the time fixed for registering options during the 1st Phase of allotment to give an idea about the chances of getting allotment to a course and college based on options and rank of the candidate. The trial Allotment does not guarantee that the candidate will get an allotment in a college or course.

KEAM Counselling 2025 Seat Allotments

After the period earmarked for registering options, KEAM counselling seat allotment for all courses is published on the website, cee.kerala.gov.in, on the date notified by the CEE. The allotment memo, the printout of which can be taken from the website, will show the college to which the candidate is allotted and the fee to be remitted for the course allotted. Necessary notifications in this regard are also issued by CEE.  

KEAM 2025 Counselling Payment of Seat Confirmation Fee

The fee prescribed in the KEAM counselling 2025 seat allotment will have to be remitted by the candidate at the colleges allotted as per the notification issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in this regard. If candidates who are instructed to join a course based on allotment do not remit the fee and join the college/course, they will lose their allotment as well as all the existing options in the stream to which the allotment belongs. The options once lost will not be available in the subsequent phases.

KEAM 2025 Counselling Final Admission

Candidates allotted to courses, and who remit the fee as prescribed, should be admitted to the college allotted as per the schedule prescribed by the CEE. Candidates who do not take admission will lose their KEAM counselling allotment as well as all the existing options in the stream to which the allotment belongs. The options once lost will not be available in the subsequent phases. The candidates are liable to pay the admission fee as prescribed by the University concerned at the time of admission.

Q:   What is to be done in KEAM option registration process?

A:

A list of Course-College combinations available for allotments through the KEAM CAP will be displayed on the Option Registration page of the candidate based on the stream (s) the candidate is eligible for. For example, a candidate included only in the Engineering stream will see the Engineering courses together with the corresponding two-letter codes (Eg:- AE - Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, EC - Electronics and Communication Engineering etc.). Similarly, a candidate in the Medical Stream will see the Medical courses together with the corresponding two-letter codes (Eg:- MM-MBBS, MD-BDS, BA-BAMS etc.). A candidate eligible for both Engineering and Medical streams will see both Engineering and Medical courses. All the Colleges under the stream (s) applicable to the candidate will be shown with their respective three-letter codes (Eg:- TVE-College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, TVM-Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram etc.).

How to Register Options in KEAM 2025 CAP?

Any candidate, who wishes to register their options, should have the KEAM 2025 ‘Application number’ and ‘Password’ readily available with them. The candidate must also have access to an internet facility. For Assistance, candidates can contact the facilitation centres. The list of facilitation centres is made available on the website.

The candidate should follow the procedure given below for registering options: 

  • Log on to the ‘Candidate Portal’ through the website cee.kerala.gov.in using the Application Number and Password.
  • Proceed to the option registration page by clicking on the ‘Option Registration’ Link.
  • Pay the option Registration Fee and register the options.
  • Save the options registered.
  • View and Print the List of Options registered.
  • Log off from the ‘Candidate Portal’. 

Q:   How to complete the KEAM option registration and how can the registered options be saved/revised?

A:

All eligible options of the candidate will be displayed on the KEAM 2023 Option Registration Page. The candidate may follow the directions given therein to register the options. The data entered may be saved regularly by clicking the ‘Save’ button, so that the data already entered is not lost due to unexpected reasons. The candidate should enter only those options in which they are interested. Candidates should also note that they will be considered for allotment only to those courses and colleges opted by them. So, a candidate who has not opted for a course-college combination will not be considered for allotment for that combination. Existing options, registered by the candidate which is available in the Option Registration Page, can be cancelled by clicking on the corresponding 'Delete' button. Changes (including deletions) made in the option list must be saved (by clicking on the SAVE button) before leaving the option registration page. All the valid options registered by the candidate will be processed. If a candidate gets allotted a particular seat, based on his/her option, he/she is bound to accept it, failing which, they will lose that allotment as well as all the existing options in the stream to which the allotment belongs. The options once lost will not be available in the subsequent phases.

Q:   Can I rearrange options priority in KEAM CAP?

A:

A candidate may change their KEAM option priority any number of times within the time schedule permitted. The priority of options registered and saved at the time of closing of the facility for registering options alone will be considered for processing. No candidate will be allowed to register options afresh to any stream at any stage after the stipulated time as notified by the CEE. The option list once finalized cannot be augmented after the stipulated time for registering options. But the modification of the option list will be allowed only for cancellation/deletion and for re- arrangement of priority of options at the time specified in the notification by the CEE.

Q:   How to view and print KEAM option list based on the options registered?

A:

Once the candidate completes the KEAM option entry, they can view their options by clicking on the link provided. An option list will be generated and the candidate can take a printout of the same and keep it for future reference. If the candidate wants to change his/her options already registered, he/she may revise the options as desired and ensure that the option list has come as per his/her preferences.

Q:   What is the process of registering options in KEAM Option Registration Page?

Candidates can register KEAM option by entering the option number for a course-college combination the candidate can fix their preference numbers for the course-college combinations displayed in the Option Registration Page. Here all the eligible options of the candidate will be displayed coursewise and the candidate is expected to enter their preference number for a particular combination.

KEAM 2025 Counselling Option Registration Rules to Follow

Check some important rules for KEAM option registration:

  • Candidates can register all the available options if they desire to. However, the candidates don't need to exercise all the options.
  • A candidate will not be allotted a seat in a course of a college if they have not opted for the course-college combination during the option registration process of CAP-2025.
  • A candidate is bound to accept an allotment as per the priority registered in the Options list and they have to surrender the seat already occupied by them, if they are allotted based on options furnished against arising/future vacancies. Request to retain the existing admission after an allotment is made, based on the option registered, will not be considered under any circumstances.
  • Failure to report for admission in the allotted institution, after remitting the required fee within the stipulated time will result in the forfeiture of his/her allotment to that course and cancellation of all the existing options in the stream to which that allotment belongs.
  • For each phase of CAP 2025 after the initial phase, confirmation of the higher order options by logging in to the Option Registration Page and clicking the ‘confirm’ button is mandatory to participate in that phase of allotment even if no cancellation/rearrangement of options is desired. Non-confirmation of higher-order options for a particular phase of CAP will lead to the automatic deletion of higher-order options belonging to the course(s) included in that phase, making them unavailable for the subsequent phases.

KEAM Counselling 2025 Post Seat Allotment Activities

After the candidates have been allotted seats:

  • Candidates have to download the allotment memo from their respective logins.
  • Thereafter, the fee prescribed in the KEAM counselling 2025 seat allotment will have to be remitted by the candidate at the colleges allotted as per the notification issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in this regard. If candidates who are instructed to join a course based on allotment do not remit the fee and join the college/course, they will lose their allotment as well as all the existing options in the stream to which the allotment belongs. The options once lost will not be available in the subsequent phases.

Documents needed: Candidates who get KEAM 2025 seat allotment will have to report before the Principal/Head of the Institution concerned for admission on the dates notified with the following documents:

  1. Certificate to prove date of birth.
  2. Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended and Conduct Certificate.
  3. Original mark list of the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary or equivalent) and the Pass certificate of the qualifying examination (if issued).
  4. Eligibility certificate from any University in Kerala, in the case of candidates who have passed a qualifying examination other than Higher Secondary Examination/ Vocational Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Kerala or the examination conducted by CBSE and CISCE. Eligibility certificate from Kerala University of Health Sciences in the case of candidates who have passed a qualifying examination other than Kerala HSE/VHSE/CBSE/CISCE for admission in KUHS affiliated colleges.
  5. Migration Certificate, if applicable.
  6. Physical Fitness Certificate
  7. Receipt of fee remitted
  8. Datasheet of KEAM 2025
  9. Admit card of NEET-UG-2025 (if applicable)
  10. Allotment Memo issued by the CEE.
  11. Any other documents required in the allotment Memo/Notification
  12. Originals of all the documents and certificates uploaded with the online application

Verification of Documents: The Principal/Head of the College or Institution shall be personally responsible for verification and satisfaction of the correctness of the documents/Certificates produced by the candidate at the time of seeking admission to the college/institution. The University concerned shall also verify the records produced by the candidate who got admission to the college/institution by deputing special teams and submit a report to the Government within 10 days from the last date fixed for the final allotment of seats.

Payment of the admission fee: Candidates who do not pay the tuition fee or do not take admission on the prescribed date will lose their allotment as well as all the existing options in the stream to which that allotment belongs.

Fees for the various courses in Govt./Aided Colleges are fixed by the Government, from time to time. Fees for the various courses in Self-financing Institutions are notified separately. The details of the fee structure for various courses are published before the commencement of the CAP 2025. The list of Private Self Financing Institutions which offer additional fee concessions is also published on the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, before the commencement of CAP 2025.  

KEAM Counselling for Subsequent Phases of Allotment

Candidates who are having valid options and who are willing to participate in the second allotment/subsequent allotment have to log in to his/her Option Registration Page and confirm their options by clicking the ‘Confirm’ button available on their Option Registration Page. Candidates can delete their unwanted options or alter the priority of existing options only after the online option confirmation. 

Online Option confirmation is mandatory before each phase of KEAM seat allotment for participating in that particular phase of allotment. The facility for Online Option confirmation is made available on the website before each phase of allotment.

  • If a candidate does not confirm the higher order options by clicking the ’Confirm’ button available on their Option Registration Page, their higher order options belonging to the course(s) included in that phase will not be available in subsequent phases either. 

After each allotment, the options below the ‘allotted one’ of the candidate will automatically be removed from the option list of the candidate.

  • If a candidate is satisfied with an allotment and does not want to be considered against their remaining options, they will have the facility to cancel all the remaining options. He/she may cancel options in a particular stream alone. They may also cancel specific options among the remaining options as per his/her desire. The candidate will also have the facility to alter the priority of the remaining options. However the candidate will not be permitted to register any fresh options to the existing ones.  

The facility for confirmation and cancellation/ deletion/re-arrangement will be available for a specified time as notified, after which the facility will be withdrawn. A candidate retaining all or any of the options after each allotment is bound to accept the next allotment, if any, given to them. If the candidate fails to accept the allotment, they will lose all the allotments/ admission and will lose the existing options in the stream to which the latest allotment belongs.
