KVPY Syllabus 2021: Download Subject wise Syllabus for SX/SB streams

KVPY Syllabus 2021 comprises the PCMB Subjects. However, according to the official website, there is no prescribed syllabus for the KVPY aptitude test.

The aptitude test aims to test the understanding and analytical ability of the student than his/her factual knowledge. Students are tested for the syllabus up to class X/XII/1st year of BSc/BS/BStat/BMath/Integrated MSc/MS as applicable.

The KVPY 2021 exam has been postponed due to COVID-19.
Students must start with their preparations as early as possible so as to avoid last-minute rush and panic.

Given below is the KVPY SA Syllabus 2021 as well as KVPY SB Syllabus from the previous years' question papers:

  • For KVPY SA Syllabus 2021, topics will be included from CBSE 10th Syllabus and CBSE 12th Syllabus
  • For KVPY SB Syllabus 2021, topics will be included from Class X, XI, XII and 1st year of BSc Basic sciences

There are topics from Class X, XI and XII in KVPY Syllabus for SX Stream.

KVPY SA Syllabus 2021

There will be 80 questions divided in part 1 & 2 in this section.

  • Part 1 will include 60 questions of 1 mark each. Every incorrect answer will have a negative marking of 0.25 marks

  • Part 2 will include 20 questions of 2 marks each. A negative marking of 0.5 marks will be done for each incorrect answer

KVPY SB Syllabus/ KVPY SX Syllabus 2021

KVPY SX Syllabus 2021 consists of topics from classes 10, 11 and 12. For SB Stream, the KVPY Syllabus 2021 will also comprise topics from first-year undergraduation besides syllabus from class 11 and 12.

There will be a total of 120 questions, of which only 80 questions will need to be answered. The exam carries a total of 100 marks.

1 marks questions will have a negative marking of 0.25 while the questions of 2 marks will have a negative marking of 0.5.

The registration dates are easily available on the websites of these institutes.

Generally, the registration starts from the month of Deember for the upcoming batch for most of the colleges. And the last date is generally around March or April.
