Filling the detailed application form 

Once candidates are done with uploading the photograph and signature, they need to enter the educational qualification, choose exam centre for preliminary and mains exam etc.

Before final submission, candidates should preview the application form and make corrections if any. After final submission, candidates will not be allowed to make any changes in the application form.

RBI Assistant Eligibility

To apply for RBI Assistant exam, candidates need to fulfill the required eligibility criteria. According to RBI Assistant eligibility, candidates should be between 20 and 28 years. According to RBI Assistant eligibility, they must have born between February 2, 1994 and February 1, 2002 (Both days are inclusive). Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved categories. They should also have the knowledge of word processing on Personal Computer (PC). Candidates, who are in the final semester/year of graduation can also apply provisionally subject to the condition if called for an interview, they need to produce proof of having passed the graduation. The eligibility criteria is given below.

RBI Assistant Age Limit: To apply for RBI Assistant recruitment exam, candidates must meet the age limit which is between 20 and 28 years. Relaxation in the age limit is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories.

RBI Assistant Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required to apply for the examination is that candidates must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the marks (Pass class for SC/ST/PwD Candidates) from the university which is recognized by the government.

Candidates, who are in the final semester/year of graduation can also apply provisionally subject to the condition if called for an interview, they need to produce proof of having passed the graduation. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on Personal Computer (PC). If a candidate is belonging to the Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) then they should either be a graduate from a recognised University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service. Q:   Which are the items not allowed inside RBI Assistant exam centre?

A:
Use of books, notebooks, calculators, watch calculators, pagers, mobile phones etc. Is not permitted in this examination. All belongings of the candidates are to be kept outside the room/ lab/ examination hall and candidates are not allowed to take their belongings prior to the end of the examination. Candidates are advised not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers/ to the venue of examination as safety arrangement cannot be assured. Any candidate found resorting to any unfair means or malpractice or any misconduct while appearing for the examination including giving/receiving help to/from any candidate during the examination will be disqualified. The candidate should be vigilant to ensure that no other candidate is able to copy from his/her answers.

Q:   In how many cities prelims and Mains exams will be conducted for RBI?

A:
The prelims exam of RBI Assistant is conducted at more than 160 cities and the Mains exam is held in around 100 cities. Candidates are required to choose one exam city each for prelims and Mains exam.The exam centre once selected cannot be changed later. Candidates should choose the exam city carefully while filling the application form. The details related to the exam centres are mentioned on the admit card.

Q:   What is RBI Assistant selection process?

A:
The selection process includes preliminary and Mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The prelims exam is divided into three sections English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. The Mains exam carries questions from Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The marks of the Mains exam are taken into consideration for the final merit list. Candidates qualifying the Mains exam are called for LPT.
