RBI Assistant Exam Centres 2024: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases RBI Assistant exam centres along with the notification. The exam centres are the cities where the prelims and mains exams will be conducted. In a particular city, there are multiple exam centres for RBI Assistant exam. The prelims exam of RBI Assistant is conducted at more than 160 cities while the mains exam is held across 100 cities. Candidates can choose two cities while filling the RBI Assistant application form.

RBI Assistant exam centre is allotted as per the preferences given by candidates. However, the examination authority reserves the right to allot RBI Assistant exam centres to candidates. The exam centres allotted to candidates cannot be changed after the final submission of the application form. Read below for more details on RBI Assistant exam centre.

RBI Assistant Exam Centres 2024: Important Points

Few important points related to RBI Assistant 2023 exam centres are given below:

  • RBI reserves the right to cancel any of the exam centres (preliminary as well as mains) and/or add some other centres depending upon the response, administrative feasibility etc. 
  • Details regarding RBI Assistant exam centres are mentioned on the admit card
  • RBI reserves the right to allot candidates to any centre other than the one they have opted for 
  • Candidates need to appear for the exam at the RBI Assistant exam centre chosen by them
  • The examination authority does not entertain any request for any in RBI Assistant 2023 exam centre

Q:   Is there any sectional timings in the RBI Assistant exam?

A:
The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. Each section of the prelims exam is conducted for 20 minutes. Candidates need to complete the paper within 135 minutes. The duration of the test of Reasoning is 30 minutes, Test of English Language is 30 minutes, Test of Numerical Ability is 30 minutes, Test of General Awareness is 25 minutes and Test of Computer Knowledge is 20 minutes. RBI Assistant prelims exam is conducted in four shifts while the Mains exam is held in two shifts. The shift 1 of prelims exam is held from 09:00 am-10:00 am while shift 2 is held from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. The Shift 3 exam is held from 02:00 pm-03:00 pm while Shift 4 is held from 04:30 pm-05:30 pm. Q:   What are RBI Assistant exam day guidelines?

A:
RBI Grade B exam day guidelines are released by the examination authority along with the admit card. Candidates need to follow the exam day guidelines given below while appearing for the exam: Candidates must not forget to take their admit card with ID proof and 2 recent colored photographs. No use of electronic items, books, watch allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates should reach the examination center 1 hour prior to the commencement of exam. Candidates need to bring a blue ball point pen. Rough sheet will be provided at the examination hall. Candidates cannot leave the examination center without the conclusion of RBI Assistant 2023 exam. Candidates need to follow all the instructions given by invigilator. Candidates found with debarred item will be disqualified from the exam.

Q:   How are the scores of RBI Assistant calculated?

A:
RBI Assistant scores are calculated by following the steps given below: The Scores of Online Examination will be obtained by adopting the following procedure : Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms Testwise scores and scores on total is reported with decimal points upto two digits The cutoffs are applied in two stages on individual tests and total score.

Q:   How to answer questions in RBI Assistant exam?

A:
RBI Assistant exam is conducted online. All tests except English is in English and Hindi. The test carries multiple choices. Out of five answers only one is the correct answer. Candidates can select the correct answer and click that alternative which they feels is correct. Answer to any question will be considered for final evaluation, only when candidates have submitted the answers by clicking on Save & Next or Mark for Review & Next. The clock is set at the server and the countdown timer at the top right corner of their screen displays the time remaining for them to complete the exam. Click on the question number on the question palette at the right of your screen to go to that numbered question directly.

Q:   What are the photo-identity proofs required for RBI Assistant exam?

A:
Along with the RBI Assistant admit card, candidates need to carry documents such as PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving Licence/Voter's Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with photograph/Photo Identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead /Photo Identity proof issued by a People's Representative on official letterhead/Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognised College/University/Aadhar Card/E-Aadhar Card with a photograph/Employee ID in original/Bar Council Identity card with photograph. Ration Card and Learner's Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof. Staff candidates have to bring RBI Identity Card and its photocopy. Please note that the name appearing on the call letter (provided by you during the process of registration) should exactly match the name as appearing on the photo identity proof. Female candidates who have changed first/last/middle name post marriage must take special note of this. If there is any mismatch between the name indicated in the admit card and Photo Identity Proof are not allowed to appear for the exam. In case of candidates who have changed their name are allowed only if they produce Gazette notification/their marriage certificate/affidavit.

Q:   Which are the items not allowed inside RBI Assistant exam centre?

A:
Use of books, notebooks, calculators, watch calculators, pagers, mobile phones etc. Is not permitted in this examination. All belongings of the candidates are to be kept outside the room/ lab/ examination hall and candidates are not allowed to take their belongings prior to the end of the examination. Candidates are advised not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers/ to the venue of examination as safety arrangement cannot be assured. Any candidate found resorting to any unfair means or malpractice or any misconduct while appearing for the examination including giving/receiving help to/from any candidate during the examination will be disqualified. The candidate should be vigilant to ensure that no other candidate is able to copy from his/her answers.

Q:   Which are the items allowed inside RBI Assistant exam centre?

A:
Candidates must bring a ball point pen with them. A sheet of paper is provided which can be used for rough work or taking down the question number candidates would like to review at the end of the test before submitting your answers. After the test is over they must drop this sheet of paper along with the admit card and photocopy of photo identity proof in the designated drop-box. Photograph is captured at the examination venue. The photo captured is matched with the photo uploaded by the candidate in the application. Candidates must not change their appearance from the photo uploaded by them.
