RBI Assistant 2024 notification is expected to be released in September 2024. The notification will be released on the official website in PDF form. The notification comprises details such as important dates, application process, exam pattern, eligibility criteria, exam centres, etc. Those who are applying for the exam must read the notification carefully inorder to get the details related to the exam.

The last date to fill RBI Assistant application form 2024 will be notified by the examination authority through the notification. • Enter the required details to register for the exam
• Click on the 'Submit' button
• Registration number and password are generated
• Upload scanned photograph and signature
• Fill in other details such as exam centers, address detail, educational qualification & work experience, etc.
• Pay the application fees
• Submit the application form and take its printout

Candidates cannot apply for RBI Assistant exam after completing Class 12. To be eligible for the exam, candidates need to be a graduate. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline. The age of candidates should be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02/09/1995 and not later than 01/09/2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. Candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions inorder to be eligible for the exam.

The total marks for RBI Assistant prelims exam are 100 while it is 200 for the Mains exam. There is no weightage for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Candidates must be able to speak, write and understand the local language of the state they have applied for. According to RBI Assistant marking scheme, for correct answers, candidates score one mark. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. RBI Assistant admit card is released online separately for different phases of exams such as prelims and Mains. The admit card is released one week before the exam To download the admit card, candidates need to enter registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. RBI Assistant admit card is an important document without which candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Reserved category candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS may apply against unreserved vacancies, if vacancies have not been reserved for their category in their state. However, they must fulfil the eligibility criteria for age and educational qualification at par with unreserved candidates. They will, however, be eligible for fee concession (as applicable),  but will have to pay specified intimation charges.

At the time of online/written examination, only those PwBD candidates (who have disability of 40% or more) who have physical limitation in typing/writing including that of speed would be allowed the facility to use the service of a scribe. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply. The candidate will have to arrange his/her own scribe/writer at his/her own cost. Both the candidate as well as the scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking, in the prescribed format with passport size photograph of the scribe at the time of examination. 

LPT is mandatory. No exemption of any sort will be given to any candidate from appearing in LPT,  which will be conducted at respective Regional Offices of the Bank. Final selection will be on the basis of candidate's performance in the online examination (in the order of merit), qualifying in LPT,  Medical fitness, verification of certificates, etc. to the Bank's satisfaction. Decision of the Bank in this regard, is final.

RBI Assistant prelims exam is conducted in four shifts while the Mains exam is held in two shifts. The shift 1 of prelims exam is held from 09:00 am-10:00 am while shift 2 is held from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. The Shift 3 exam is held from 02:00 pm-03:00 pm while Shift 4 is held from 04:30 pm-05:30 pm. The shift 1 of Mains exam is held from 10:00 am to 12:15 pm while shift 2 is held from 2:30 pm-4:45 pm. The shift-wise exam timings for RBI Assistant prelims and mains exams are given below.

RBI Assistant prelims exam is held for one hour while the Mains exam is held for 135 minutes. Each section of the prelims exam is held for 20 minutes. In the Mains exam, Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language and Test of Numerical Ability are held for 30 minutes. The sectional timing for Test of General Awareness is 25 minutes. Selected candidates will be initially posted in the Bank's office within the Recruitment Zone for which they had applied. However, they are liable to be transferred, in administrative exigencies to centers grouped and classified into East, West, North, South Zone offices as under:
(i) East Zone: Kolkata (including Gangtok), Bhubaneswar, Guwahati (including Shillong,  Agartala, Aizwal, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima), Patna (including Ranchi)
(ii) West Zone: Ahmedabad, Bhopal (including Raipur), Mumbai (including Belapur, Pune,  Panaji), Nagpur
(iii) North Zone: Chandigarh (including Shimla), Jaipur, Jammu / Srinagar, Kanpur (including Lucknow & Dehradun), New Delhi
(iv) South Zone: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram (including Kochi)

In RBI Assistant there is no interview. However, candidates qualifying the Mains exam are required to appear for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). During LPT, candidates are assessed whether they can speak and write the language of the state they have applied for. The selection process of RBI Assistant comprises prelims and mains exams. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The mains exam of RBI Assistant comprises five sections-Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are  200.

RBI Assistant application fee is INR 450 for OBC/General/EWS candidates, while it is INR 50 for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. The application fee of RBI Assistant can be paid online by using debit card/credit card, net banking, mobile wallets, etc. The application fee once paid by candidates will not be refunded by the examination authority. On successful payment of application fee, an e-receipt is generated

Non-generation of e-receipt indicates payment failure
