RRB NTPC Syllabus 2025 CBT 2

RRB NTPC CBT 2 syllabus comprises three sections-General Intelligence & Reasoning, Mathematics, and General Awareness. It is an objective type test, comprising 120 questions that need to be completed in 90 minutes. The CBT 2 exam is conducted for the qualified candidates of the CBT 1 exam. The CBAT exam is conducted for the posts of Station Master And Traffic Assistant. Candidates need to secure T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery and this qualifying marks is common across various categories. RRB NTPC syllabus 2024 for CBAT includes the following tests:

  • Intelligence Test: In this test, candidates are given five figures, four of which are similar in some way, while one is different. Candidatesneed to identify the figure that is different from the other four.
  • Selective Attentive Test: This test checks how well candidates can concentrate on one thing and ignore distractions.
  • Spatial Scanning Test: This test evaluates how effectively and accurately candidates can observe and match objects
  • Information Ordering: This test measures the ability to arrange items in a specific order according to given rules.

RRB NTPC exam pattern consists of first stage CBT, second stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and Typing Test, Document Verification, Medical Exam, and Final Selection. The exam pattern of first stage CBT and second stage CBT comprises questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. Computer-Based Aptitude Test and Typing Test

CBAT is conducted for Station Master and Traffic Assistant while Typing Skill Test is held for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper. In CBAT, candidates are given test batteries consisting of six tests as per the posts. In typing tests, candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on the computer without using editing tools and spell check facility. 

Document Verification Phase

Candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification. Candidates equal to 50 per cent of the number of vacancies for various posts are called for document verification.

Medical Test

Before final selection, candidates need to undergo a medical test wherein the railway administration examines their physical fitness so that they carry out the duties as the posts. Visual Acuity Standard is given due importance in the medical test.

RRB NTPC Marking Scheme

RRB NTPC scores are calculated based on the marking scheme prescribed by the examination authority. For the correct answer, candidates score one mark. There is negative marking for wrong answers, 1/3 marks are deducted for incorrect answers. The marks of each session of the test are normalised since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions. Normalisation of marks is done to adjust the difficulty of question papers
