SBI PO marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. The scores of candidates are calculated as per the marking scheme. SBI PO marking scheme is given below:

  • For incorrect answers, one-fourth of marks assigned to a particular question in the objective test are deducted as penalty to arrive at the corrected scores
  • There is no negative marking for the subjective part of the Mains exam
  • If a question is left blank, there will be no penalty for that question

The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. Final selection of candidates is done based on the Mains exam and group exercises and interview. Out of 100, the weightage of marks given to the Mains exam are 75. The weightage of marks given to the interview and group discussion are 25. The merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam, group exercuses and interview.

Q:   What is SBI Clerk normalisation?

SBI normalisation is an important aspect of the exam. The prelims and Mains exams of SBI Clerk are held in various shifts, therefore, normalisation is applied to calculate the scores of candidates. SBI Clerk normalisation is done since there is some variation in the level of difficulty among with the shifts. SBI uses SBI Clerk normalisation to deal with the type of fluctuation. To balance the candidate's marks, SBI Clerk normalisation is followed which helps in adjusting the scores of all candidates. Banking exams that are conducted in different shifts do follow the normalisation process to normalise the marks secured by candidates. SBI Clerk exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales). SBI Clerk normalisation is using the equi-percentile method.

Q:   How many minimum marks are required to crack SBI PO exam?

A:

The minimum marks to crack SBI PO exam isn't disclosed yet by the governing committee. It depends on the level of competition and the number of vacancies they have. Based on these, after the examination is over, the committee decides the cut-off level and sends notifications to the qualifying candidates informing them of further procedures. There are no sectional cut off marks in SBI PO exam. Candidates need to secure the overall cut off marks as per their categories in the exam. The marks of candidate are calculated as per the marking scheme. The marking scheme is given below:

  • There is SBI PO negative marking for wrong answers, one-fourth marks assigned to a particular question in the objective test are deducted as penalty to arrive at the corrected scores

Stages of SBI Result 2024 Declaration

The result of SBI is declared in the following stages:

SBI Result for Preliminary Exam

This is the first stage of the SBI result. On the basis of the result of this stage, candidates are selected for the mains exam. Candidates, approximately 10 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted based on the SBI result of the prelims exam.

SBI Result for Mains Exam

The mains exam is conducted for the qualified candidates of the preliminary exam. This is the second stage of the SBI result. Based on the result of the mains exam, candidates three times the number of vacancies are called for Group Exercises & Interview. The Group Exercises & Interview are conducted for the SBI PO exam.

SBI Result for Final Selection

Final selection of candidates for the Clerical post is done based on the marks of the mains exam provided candidates qualify for the local language test. Final selection for the PO post is done based on the performance of candidates in the mains exam and Group Exercises & Interview. The performance of candidates in the preliminary exam is not taken into consideration for the preparation of the final merit list.

SBI Cut-Off 2024

SBI Cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure in order to qualify for the exam. SBI decides section-wise and overall cutoff marks. To qualify for each stage of the selection process, candidates need to score the cutoff marks. SBI Cut-Off 2023 is released along with the scorecard for different phases of the exam. The cut-off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure to qualify for each phase of the exam. The State Bank of India (SBI) releases the SBI Cut-Off separately for Prelims and Mains. SBI releases the cut-off marks along with the result on its official website i.e., sbi.co.in.

Release of SBI Exam Application Form 

Candidates need to fill out the SBI application form online. The application fee can be paid online and offline. The application fee is INR 750, however, SC/ST/Women candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from paying the fees. 

Issue of SBI Admit Card

SBI Admit Card is released separately for the preliminary exam, mains exam, and Group Exercises and Interview. Candidates need to access their admit cards from the official website. To download SBI admit card, candidates need to enter the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post.

Appearing in the SBI Exam

Candidates need to appear in the SBI exam which is conducted in different phases/stages. SBI PO exam is conducted in three stages, preliminary, mains, Group Exercises, and Interview. The stages of the SBI Clerk exam are preliminary, mains, and Language Proficiency Test. The stages of the SBI SO exam depend on the type of vacancies/posts. For instance, recruitment to Deputy Manager (Law) comprises a written test and interview. While the selection process for Senior Special Executive (Data Analyst) and Senior Executive (Statistics) includes shortlisting and interview.
