b) For incorrect answer there is no negative marking

d) If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous or has multiple correct answers, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers would be given the credit.

E) If a question is found to be incorrect and the Question is dropped, then two marks (+2) will be awarded to only those candidates who have attempted the question

Q:   How much do I study for the UGC NET exam?

A: 

To prepare for UGC (University Grants Commission) NET (National Eligibility Test), you must understand the core concepts of your subject very well. This exam is divided into two parts – Paper 1 which focuses on teaching/research aptitude, and Paper 2 which is your subject-specific.

In Paper 1 you will have to test your teaching aptitude, research aptitude, reading comprehension, communication, reasoning (including mathematical), logical reasoning, data interpretation, information and communication technology (ICT), people and environment, and higher education system: governance, polity and administration. Have to focus on topics.

In Paper 2 you will have to study according to your subject. UGC NET syllabus is different for every subject.

In Andhra Pradesh also this approach should be followed for UGC NET preparation. You must understand the core concepts of your subjects thoroughly, solve previous years' question papers, and give mock tests on a regular basis.

You have to manage time well for your preparation. Dedicate sufficient time to cover each topic, and revise at regular intervals. Apart from this, try to understand the exam pattern and marking scheme well.

 The NTA postponed the UGC NET Dec session exam for January 15, 2025 due to Pongal, Makar Sankranti and other festivals. The revsied dates were released by the NTA. Now, the January 15 exam was conducted on January 21 (morning shift) and January 27, 2025 in the evening shift.
