The National Testing Agency is conducting the DU CUET UG 2022 phase II exams starting from August 4 to August 20 in two shifts every day – 9 am to 12:15 pm and 3 pm to 6: 45 pm. The exam is being held in computer-based test mode in about 500 cities across India and 10 cities abroad.

The CUET (UG) – 2022 has been scheduled for approximately 14,90,000 (Fourteen Lakh and Ninety Thousand) candidates, with approximately 8,10,000 (Eight lakh and ten thousand) candidates in the first slot and approximately 6,80,000 (Six lakh eighty thousand) candidates in the second slot. 

Q:   When will the CUET PG 2024 notification release?

A:

UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has shared in his latest tweet about the CUET PG Exam dates for the academic session 2024-2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted between March 11 to March 28, 2023. 

Aspirants preparing for CUET PG examination can expect the release of CUET PG 2024 notification by NTA in the last week December, 2023 or First week of Januray, 2024. The examination will be held for the graduates to get enrolled for various masters degree like MSc, MAMBAMTech etc., in various central universities or particiapting universities under the CUET PG 2023 examination.

Q:   What are the important rules that candidates need to take care of during the examination?

A:
During the exam, each candidate are required to attempt subject as per the choice selected in the application form. Candidates are suggested to ensure that name of the subject on the screen is the same as per their admit card. If candidates faces any issue or in case of any discrepancy candidates need to inform invigilators immediately. Notably, candidates must attempt subjects as per their choice in the application, and they are suggested to take proper care of this point. As once printed on the candidates issued admit card the subject will not be changed.

Q:   How will I get to know the location of my DUET 2023 exam centre?

A:
Eligible candidates need to first register at the official website of Delhi University. Candidates who will be appearing for the exam need to visit the official website of the exam and click on the admit card link, once it is released. Candidates will be required to download the admit card from the link available at the official website of Delhi University. After that candidates will be able to get the information regarding the exam centre at the DUET 2023 admit card. Meanwhile, the information regarding the CUET UG and PG will be mentioned at the CUET UG and CUET-PG admit card.

The exam pattern is such that the DU CUET UG 2022 question paper consists of a total of 175 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) (140 to be attempted) in slot I whereas 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) (80 to be attempted) in slot II. Each question was of four marks. Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

After the first shift of the CUET UG phase II exam on August 4, Shiksha tried to get students' reaction and ask about the exam pattern and related questions at an exam centre in Galgotias University, Greater Noida. Ananya: ''I appeared for English and Entrepreneurship paper. The paper was quite easy and it was a quite general paper. There was server issue during the exam and due to which it took a long time to finish the paper. I just hope that in the next paper it won't happen. I will be appearing for Psychology and Political Science in the next exams.’’ She added, ‘’The paper was very easy. It was not a lengthy one. There were technical glitches in the exam due to the central server issue.’’ 

Q:   What are the important exam day instructions for DUET exam?

A:
Candidates can check the below space to know about important instruction related to the DUET exam: DUET admit card needs to be produced at the exam centre at the time of verification. Candidates must reach the exam centre one hour before the commencement of exam. Do not reach the exam centre late you will not be allowed to appear in the exam. Electronic devices or gadgets are not allowed inside the exam centre. Bags, textbooks, pen, pencil or any other stationaries are not allowed inside the exam centre. Violation of rules and regulations will lead to cancellation of candidature.

Q:   What documents can I carry to exam centre for DUET exam?

A:
On the exam day, candidates are supposed to mandatory carry the DUET admit card along with their original photo-identity proof like their PAN card or voter ID card or passport or driving license or aadhaar card. In case a candidates forget to carry their admit card and identity card at the exam centre, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. Once the admit card is released, candidates will be required to download their admit card and take a print out of it. Candidates will be required to carry the hard copy of their admit card to the exam centre.

Q:   Will DUET exam be conducted in 2024?

A:

No, DUET exam will not be conducted in 2024 for UG and PG courses. However, admission to UG and PG courses of Delhi University are done through CUET UG and CUET PG. The examination schedule for CUET UG and PG courses are announced. Candidates interested to appear in the CUET UG and CUET PG exam need to first register for the exam on the official website of the exam. Notably, CUET UG and CUET exams are conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Q:   Is calculator allowed in DUET exam?

A:
No, calculator is not allowed in DUET exam. Candidates will only be allowed to carry the following items at the exam centre: Personal Transparent Water Bottle. Personal Hand Sanitizer (50 ML). Simple Transparent Pen. Exam Documents - admit card, government. Authorised document, passport size photograph & self-declaration form. Original and Valid ID proof. Mask and Gloves.

Q:   In how many shifts DUET 2023 exam will be held?

A:

DUET 2023 exams schedule is yet to be announced by the exam conducting body. Once released, candidates will be updated about the same here. 

Shreya: ‘’I appeared for three different domains paper. English, Accounts, Entrepreneurship and General Test. All the papers went well except the General Test as I faced technical issues while attempting it. I waited for around an hour during the General Test due to a technical problem and couldn’t attempt the General Test paper. The difficulty level was moderate. English paper was quite easy. I would like to take admission in Shri Ram College of Commerce.’’  

Suhani: ‘’I appeared for three exams today-English, General Test and Mass Media. I could only appear for English and Mass Media Test and not the General Test as there was some technical glitch. The General Test paper got cancelled and we will be informed later whenever it happens again and we will be informed about it. All the students faced technical issues during the General Test paper.’’ 

Ruksa: ‘’I appeared for CUET exam for General Test, English, Physics and Painting. The test was delayed. The General Test paper didn't appear on the screen. The authority informed that the technical glitches are happening in entire Uttar Pradesh exam centres. English paper was quite easy and rest papers were as per CBSE syllabus. I will be appearing next for Maths and Computer Applications.’’  

Kashika: ‘’I appeared for English, Mathematics, Mass Media and General Test. The difficulty level of the exam was moderate to easy. The questions were framed as per class 12th CBSE level. The paper was delayed for an hour due to technical glitches. Due to technical issues the General Test paper was cancelled. I will be appearing next for Physics and Chemistry on August 8.’’ 

Guun Wadhwa: ‘’I appeared for English, Psychology and Accounts paper of CUET exam. All the exams went well. It was better than expected. The exam was very easy. There were technical glitches in the exam, mainly in the General Test paper. There were not just technical issues but administrative issues as well. I will be appearing for the next exam on August 18.’’ 

CUET UG 2022 Phase II Exam Analysis

CUET UG Phase II exam was conducted well amid tight security measures. The exams were conducted at various different exam centres. However, students who appeared for the first slot of first day exam of CUET UG phase II shared some details about the entrance exam said that the General Test paper of all the candidates were cancelled due to technical issues from the central server. The General Test paper will be conducted again. They said that the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to easy. Meanwhile, some candidates found technical issues in their computer while attempting the exam. Students were asked to wait for an hour as General Test paper didn't appear from the central server. Students also complaint about administrative issues during the exam.  

CUET UG Phase II Exam Timings

Candidates appearing for CUET UG exam were asked to report to the allotted exam centre half an hour before the entrance exam scheduled timing. Students were asked to be present at the exam centre at 8:20 am for the first slot of the exam which was held from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. Gate closing time of the exam centre was 8:30 am. At the exam centre, candidates were asked to show their CUET admit card along with their government ID.

Unfortunately no. DUET is Delhi University Entrance Test and DU has discontinued the PG Diploma in Bioinformatics programme in 2023. Therefore, preparing for DUET to get admission to the PG Diploma in Bioinformatics programme will not be helpful.
