DUET/DU CUET UG, PG 2023 counselling will be conducted after the results. National Testing Agency is yet to release the exam schedule of DUET 2023. Ahead of the counselling schedule, merit list will be released. Qualified candidates will be able to participate in the DUET counselling process 2023. The counselling dates will be announced on the official website of NTA. Make a note that the counselling for students applying through cut-off and through DUET is different.

Guidelines for admission

  • The allotment list is displayed on the admission portal as well as on the applicant's login
  • Candidates are required to log in on the admission portal using their registered email and password
  • The allotted course and college is displayed
  • In case applicants want to get admission to the displayed course, they need to click 'Apply for Admission' button 

Note 1: Choosing 'apply for admission' option leads to cancellation of admission in any course where the applicant is currently admitted

Note 2: Candidates are not required to visit the college in order to get admission

  • The college will verify the certificates uploaded by the candidates within days and approve their admission if found eligible
  • The college authorities will contact the applicant over email or phone in case of any queries 
  • After approval for admission by the Principal of the college, candidates need to submit the college fee within the prescribed time-frame
  • Applicants already admitted in a course at Delhi University are required to cancel admission in such course and pay the cancellation fee to be eligible
  • Candidates provided admission are required to be present in a person with their original documents for verification at the time of commencement of classes

DUET Counselling - Ranking for Admissions

Ranking for DUET counselling is prepared for each course. This is based on the marks secured by candidates in the entrance exam. In case of undergraduate courses like BSc (PE, HE&S), the mean marks scored in the written test and the trails are considered for determining the ranking.

DUET Counselling - Allotment of Courses and Colleges

The allotment of seats for all entrance based courses are done centrally and is displayed on the admission portal. In case of BElEd courses, the seats available in each college under each admission category are allotted to candidates in order of their ranks and as per their preferences subject to availability. Candidates allotted seat higher their preference order will not be allowed to change any seat lower in their preference order within the same admission category.

DUET 2023 Counselling – Admission Form

Candidates allotted seats in a college are required to confirm their admission by selecting and confirming the college and course from the dashboard on the admission portal. An admission form opens and candidates need to the same and take its printout.

Verification of documents at DUET Counselling

Candidates need to report to the allotted college for verification of the required documents along with the admission form within the stipulated time frame.

DUET Counselling 2023 – Fee Payment

Candidates admission to different courses and colleges are approved online upon verification of documents. The link to pay the fee is provided in the candidate’s portal. Candidates need to pay the fee online with the defined time frame. After successful fee payment, candidates’ admission is confirmed.

Choice of Re-Allotment

Upon fee payment, candidates are required to choose any one of the options given below –

  • Whether you wish to be reallotted a seat higher in your preference order if it is available
  • Whether you are satisfied with the seat allotted and do not want another allotment of seat

DUET Counselling 2023 – Subsequent Rounds of Allotment

After every subsequent allotment rounds, available seats after the previous round are allotted to the candidates who opt for re-allotment and to those ranked above the last admitted rank. This procedure is followed in case of candidates not allotted a seat subjected to their preferences.

  • In case a seat higher in the candidates’ preference is available, the same is allotted to them and the seat already allotted in the earlier DUET counselling rounds is cancelled.
  • Candidates allotted seats need to fill the admission form, undergo verification of documents, pay the fees and appear for re-allotment.

Following candidates are not considered in the subsequent rounds of counselling.

  • Candidates who have already been allotted in their first preference
  • Those who have opted out of the re-allotment
  • Candidates whose names appeared in the provisional admission list but they did not appear for document verification
  • Candidates who do not confirm their admission by paying the fees

Procedure of Spot Admission

  • The admission portal displays the number of seats in each college after admission to the fifth round. The examination authority releases the schedule of spot allotment where candidates are called as per their ranks. The schedule also mentions the date, time and venue of DUET counselling 2023.
  • In the first round of spot allotment under each category, candidates who have been offered admission but have opted for re-allocation is considered. Besides, candidates who are not yet allotted a seat but whose ranking is higher than the rank of last admitted candidates in any category are also eligible. They are called as per their rank to choose a seat from the available ones and allotment is done accordingly.
  • In the second round, candidates whose rank is higher than the last selected admitted candidates and who failed to take admission during the online allotment rounds are considered.
  • In the subsequent rounds, candidates not yet allotted seats are called for DUET counselling 2023 as per their ranks.

Note: To fill any vacant seats in any category, the varsity may conduct more rounds of DUET counselling 2023.

Q:   Can I get other colleges from CUET counselling that I haven't listed on my application?

A:
Hi, No, you cannot get into colleges that you have not listed in your counseling application. 1. The CUET counseling process is done after the exam to allot colleges to qualified students in participatory universities. 2. Once the CUET exam results are announced by the NTA the respective Central Universities will declare their counseling schedule. 3. You will be required to participate in the counseling process at your preferred university. The university will assign you to a college based on your score and preferences. 4. Q:   What is the procedure of counselling in DU after cut off list?

A:
The procedure is pretty simple. You just need to go to the du official website and check the college and course cut off for which you wish to apply, after this you will have to apply for that college from UG admission portal by logging in and take a printout of the form for that course and college after which you will have to take a Photostat of all the documents mentioned on that form and go to the college for taking admission.

Q:   Can I opt for a different college after the declaration of the second cutoff list (DU) if a college has already been allotted to me?

A:
If you clear the cut-off of different colleges in the 2nd cut-off list, then you have to go to the college in which you took admission in the 1st cut-off list. There they will give you a cancellation form, and after you fill that up they will return you all your documents. After collecting the documents, you can go to the college whose cut-off you cleared later and follow the similar admission process as you did earlier. Hope this helped.

But from the previous academic session the National Testing Agency NTA introduced CUET for admission to UG courses and from this year admission to PG courses of Delhi University is done through CUET. Counselling process for Ph.D. courses will be done after DUET. Meanwhile, counselling process for UG and PG courses will be done after the result of CUET. In a similar way, qualified students will have to report to the college to complete the counselling session. However, for the 2023-24 academic year, students will have to complete the counselling session online.

No. Candidate will not be allowed to change colleges once the counselling session has been completed.
