DUET 2022 Exam Day Rules

The Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) finally started from October 17, 2022 and will be held till October 21, 2022. DUET 2022 exam will be conducted in online mode i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT). However, to appear for an entrance exam, one needs to take all the precautions and safety measures, in order to successfully appear for DUET. The DUET 2022 Admit Card has been released on October 14. Registered candidates can download their DUET admit card from the official website.

Aspirants are required to follow the guidelines and instructions provided on the DUET admit card. It is important to follow the DUET 2022 exam day guidelines and also follow the social distancing norms on the main day of the national-level entrance exam. Due to the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the National Testing Agency (NTA) has set certain protocols which must be followed by students who are appearing for DUET 2022.

DUET 2022 Exam Timings

Students are required to be present at the DUET exam centre at the scheduled time, which will be mentioned on the DUET admit card, at least half an hour before the gate closes. There are certain formalities which need to be carried out by the officials and students are required to calmly follow the rules. Candidates must know the importance of timings as the national-level entrance exam will be carried out according to a particular schedule which is as follows:

DUET 2022 Admit Card & Self-Declaration Form

Candidates are required to carry their DUET 2022 admit card with them at all costs and in a hard copy. The admit card cannot be shown through the mobile phone. There are certain undertakings which are required to be filled by the candidate. If the candidate does not fill the self-declaration form, they will not be allowed to appear for the DUET exam. Q:   When will the CUET PG 2024 notification release?

A:

UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has shared in his latest tweet about the CUET PG Exam dates for the academic session 2024-2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted between March 11 to March 28, 2023. 

Aspirants preparing for CUET PG examination can expect the release of CUET PG 2024 notification by NTA in the last week December, 2023 or First week of Januray, 2024. The examination will be held for the graduates to get enrolled for various masters degree like MSc, MAMBAMTech etc., in various central universities or particiapting universities under the CUET PG 2023 examination.

Q:   What are the important rules that candidates need to take care of during the examination?

A:
During the exam, each candidate are required to attempt subject as per the choice selected in the application form. Candidates are suggested to ensure that name of the subject on the screen is the same as per their admit card. If candidates faces any issue or in case of any discrepancy candidates need to inform invigilators immediately. Notably, candidates must attempt subjects as per their choice in the application, and they are suggested to take proper care of this point. As once printed on the candidates issued admit card the subject will not be changed.

Q:   How will I get to know the location of my DUET 2023 exam centre?

A:
Eligible candidates need to first register at the official website of Delhi University. Candidates who will be appearing for the exam need to visit the official website of the exam and click on the admit card link, once it is released. Candidates will be required to download the admit card from the link available at the official website of Delhi University. After that candidates will be able to get the information regarding the exam centre at the DUET 2023 admit card. Meanwhile, the information regarding the CUET UG and PG will be mentioned at the CUET UG and CUET-PG admit card.
  • COVID-19 Symptoms: If the candidate has had any COVID-19 symptom such as – Cough/Fever/Breathlessness/Sore Throat/Runny Nose/Body Ache/Others (needs to be specified), they are required to tick the mark. If the candidate has not had any symptoms in the past, they can leave the option blank. If the candidate has been in close contanct with confirmed case of COVID-19 or not been in contact with a person suffering from COVID-19 and not under mandatory quarantine they need to tick the mark. 
  • Travel: If the candidate has travelled 14 days prior to DUET 2022. Name the city you have travelled to along with the date when the candidate travelled and when the candidate returned.

Details to be filled in the DUET Self-Declaration form

  • Candidate’s recent passport size photograph.
  • Candidate’s left-hand thumb impression (to be done before reaching the DUET exam centre).
  • Candidate’s parent/guardian’s signature.
  • Candidate’s Signature, which needs to be signed in the presence of the invigilator.

Before Reaching the DUET Exam Centre

  • The candidate must reach the DUET exam centre one hour before the gate closes.
  • Keep your DUET admit card safely along with the government authorized IDs.
  • Paste the passport size photograph on the self-declaration form.
  • Get your parent or guardian’s signature on the self-declaration form.
  • Dress appropriately and DO NOT wear any footwear/shoes with thick soles and garments with large buttons.
  • Do not carry any personal belongings such as electronic devices, mobile phones, smartwatches, calculator or any other items which can lead to disqualification.

Items that can be carried to the DUET Exam Centre

  • Personal Transparent Water Bottle
  • Personal Hand Sanitizer (50 ML)
  • Simple Transparent Pen
  • Exam Documents – admit card, Govt. authorised document, passport size photograph & self-declaration form.
  • Original and Valid ID proof
  • Mask and Gloves

At Time of Entry

  • The candidate needs to maintain a space of 6 feet from other people at all times. It is important to follow the social distancing norms laid down.
  • There will be a queue manager, there will be ropes and floor marks will be arranged outside the centre.
  • Hand sanitizers will be provided at the exam centre.
  • Keep the DUET admit card and self-declaration form safely.
  • Candidates will be required to remove their personal masks and will be provided with 3 ply masks before entry.
  • The candidate’s body temperature will be checked using a thermo guns. Once checked, the candidate will be guided where they have to scan the bar on the DUET admit card.
  • No Candidate would be allowed to enter the exam centre, without the admit card, valid ID proof and proper frisking. Frisking through Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD) will be carried out without touching the body.

During the DUET Examination

  • The candidate has to enter their Username (Exam Roll No.), PIN No (Date of Birth) and Password, which will be provided five minutes before the examination time start.
  • The candidate will be provided five A4 size sheets which needs to be used for rough work. If additional sheets are required, the candidate can request the invigilator.
  • Candidates are required to paste the passport size photograph and sign on the attendance sheet after sanitizing their hands.
  • DO NOT make any suspicious moves or any means of cheating as it will lead to the disqualification and the candidate will not be allowed to give the rest of the entrance exam.

After DUET Examination

  • Once the exam has been conducted, the students will have to move out in an orderly manner.
  • Candidates cannot leave their seats unless the invigilator has given clear instructions.
  • Candidates are required to drop the DUET admit card and rough sheets in the advised boxes after displaying it to the staff.
  • If the candidate DOES NOT drop the DUET admit card and rough sheets, it may lead to disqualification from the examination and action will be taken.

COVID-19 Safety Instructions

One must be careful at all times as the safety of students comes first. Students are requested to follow the below-mentioned pointers which are as follows:

  • Carry your hand sanitizers at all times.
  • The candidate will be provided with 3 ply masks before entering the exam hall.
  • Before each shift starts, the seating area will be thoroughly sanitized - monitor keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk and the chair. All door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons, etc, will be disinfected. Wheelchairs (if present at the venue) will also be disinfected.
  • There will be a gap of two seats between the candidates in the exam room.
  • Hand sanitizers will be available at various locations of the exam centre.
  • Students are advised to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet. Be it while entering the exam room, the exam centre and while moving out.

Q:   What are the important exam day instructions for DUET exam?

A:
Candidates can check the below space to know about important instruction related to the DUET exam: DUET admit card needs to be produced at the exam centre at the time of verification. Candidates must reach the exam centre one hour before the commencement of exam. Do not reach the exam centre late you will not be allowed to appear in the exam. Electronic devices or gadgets are not allowed inside the exam centre. Bags, textbooks, pen, pencil or any other stationaries are not allowed inside the exam centre. Violation of rules and regulations will lead to cancellation of candidature.

On the exam day, candidates are supposed to mandatory carry the DUET admit card along with their original photo-identity proof like their PAN card or voter ID card or passport or driving license or aadhaar card. In case a candidates forget to carry their admit card and identity card at the exam centre, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. Once the admit card is released, candidates will be required to download their admit card and take a print out of it. Candidates will be required to carry the hard copy of their admit card to the exam centre.

Q:   Will DUET exam be conducted in 2024?

A:

No, DUET exam will not be conducted in 2024 for UG and PG courses. However, admission to UG and PG courses of Delhi University are done through CUET UG and CUET PG. The examination schedule for CUET UG and PG courses are announced. Candidates interested to appear in the CUET UG and CUET PG exam need to first register for the exam on the official website of the exam. Notably, CUET UG and CUET exams are conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Q:   Is calculator allowed in DUET exam?

A:
No, calculator is not allowed in DUET exam. Candidates will only be allowed to carry the following items at the exam centre: Personal Transparent Water Bottle. Personal Hand Sanitizer (50 ML). Simple Transparent Pen. Exam Documents - admit card, government. Authorised document, passport size photograph & self-declaration form. Original and Valid ID proof. Mask and Gloves.

Q:   In how many shifts DUET 2023 exam will be held?

Unfortunately no. DUET is Delhi University Entrance Test and DU has discontinued the PG Diploma in Bioinformatics programme in 2023. Therefore, preparing for DUET to get admission to the PG Diploma in Bioinformatics programme will not be helpful.
