NTA is conducting the DUET 2021 exam from September 26 to October 1 in three shifts everyday – 8:00-10:00 AM, 12:30-2:30 PM and 5:00-7:00 PM. NTA is conducting the exam as a computer-based test in about 24 cities across India following all the COVID-19 precautionary measures.
The DUET 2021 question paper contains 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question was of four marks. For each correct answer in the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), students will be awarded 4 marks while for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. After the second shift of the DUET exam got over on September 26, Shiksha interacted with students at an exam centre in Delhi. Total 170 students appeared at this exam centre. DUET 2021 Student Reactions
Suchi: ''The Delhi University Entrance Exam was not very difficult. I completed the exam before the scheduled time as I found the exam quite easy. Questions in the entrance exam were based on the complete syllabus of BA and it was not very difficult.''
Mudita: I found the question paper little difficult. A lot of questions were based on theory and it is really difficult to remember a lot of theory. I found the questions paper difficult and I couldn't complete a lot of questions on time. Most of the questions were from the International Relations and Public Administration which were quite difficult to answer.''
Nausheed: ''Exam pattern was okay. But the Delhi University syllabus is a bit lengthy and confusing. Due to the mixed syllabus, I was confused what to study and what to leave. The worst thing about this exam is negative marking. I think there should be no negative marking in the exam.''
Rashmi: ''The entrance exam was easy and questions were based on syllabus. I was abale to complete the exam on time. But I think should be no negative marking in the exam. All the COVID-19 precaitionary measures were also taken by the exam conducting authority during the exam. Students were provided masks, gloves sanitisers etc.''
Sonal, Delhi University: ''The difficulty level was moderate to easy. Most of the questions were from Indian Polity. As expected there, was more questions from Indian Polity in DUET. COVID made things little difficult as there were no physical interaction with teachers but overall the question paper was easy.''
Janhvi: The question paper was little difficult. Some of the questions were out of syllabus. I found the questions hard to answer. The paper was also very lengthy and I was not able to complete on time.''
Anita: ''My entrance exam went well as questions were quite easy. I was able to complete the question paper on time.''
Another student at the centre says, ''Difficulty level was easy to medium. Main syllabus were covered in the exam from Comparitive Politics and International Relations. I was able to complete the paper in an hour.''
DUET 2021 Exam Analysis
Due to the current global pandemic COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation in the counrty, proper precautionary measures were taken at different exam centres. However, students talking about the entrance exam revealed that the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to easy. Meanwhile, some candidates found the question paper difficult, and some students found it difficult to complete the question paper on time. Candidates felt that there should ne no negative marking in the DUET exam.
DUET Exam Timings
Students were asked to report to the exam centre half an hour before the entrance exam scheduled timing. They were required to be present at 7:20 AM for the first slot of exam from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Gate closing time of the exam centre was 7:30 AM. At the exam centre, candidates were asked to show their DUET admit card along with their government ID. Candidates were also asked to fill the self-declaration at the exam centre before entry.

Unfortunately no. DUET is Delhi University Entrance Test and DU has discontinued the PG Diploma in Bioinformatics programme in 2023. Therefore, preparing for DUET to get admission to the PG Diploma in Bioinformatics programme will not be helpful.
