A very renowned and good college, best in infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The highest - 32.51 lac per annum, the lowest - 4 lac per annum, average - 12 lac per annum. Top roles offered are counseling psychologists, research psychologists, educational psychologists, and forensic psychologists. Around 50% of students get internships in my course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Amity University Kolkata is excellent. The classrooms, labs, and libraries are well-kept, spacious, and equipped with proper equipment. The canteen food is genuinely not that great but has good hygiene overall. There are also courts for games, medical facilities, printing facilities, ATMs, and a pool.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, always free to help, and have adequate knowledge. The teaching quality is also very good, and interactions outside of studies are also undertaken. Semester exam difficulty is moderate and depends on students' efforts in their studies. The passing mark is 35 and above.

Amity Kolkata is a good university to enjoy your college life to the fullest.
Placements: You get good opportunities from Amity, with placements also available abroad. The college is very supportive of curricular activities and practical-based experience. We have the opportunity to opt for internships from the second year onward in our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is beautiful, except for the washrooms. The rest of the college is well-designed and has a good canteen. It also has an ATM inside and a Café Coffee Day. We have practical classrooms equipped with tools and assessments to practice with.
Faculty: A few faculty members are great, while some just come to read their own PDFs and never help us understand or clear our doubts. However, a few of them are understanding and supportive. Faculty members are generally enjoyable and friendly, and they help us organize events.
Other: I chose Amity because of the infrastructure and the fests it organizes. The campus has a swimming pool and a gym, along with its own ATM and four canteens, plus a Café Coffee Day!

Amity Kolkata, a good option for psychology?
Placements: Amity doesn't really provide the kind of placement they claim to provide, and especially for the course I have done, which is Psychology, there are no placements provided at all. In the Bachelor's course, they don't have any placement options to even sit for, and that's mostly because Psychology jobs require at least a Master's degree.
Infrastructure: The classrooms at Amity are amazing; they are well air-conditioned with whiteboards as well as cardboard. The library at Amity is average. There are not a lot of books available, but it’s okay. The food quality is good, and hostel facilities are fairly fine, but they’re very strict and expensive. Amity does have a sports club, and there are a lot of sports and games played there.
Faculty: The teachers here are Ph.D. holders or Ph.D. scholar students. They are moderately helpful and well-qualified but are only concerned about their syllabus. The course is relevant but not industry-ready because it is very theoretical and there is very little practical exposure provided. The exams at Amity are easy; you can pass if you fill your paper with even 2 or 3 proper answers because Amity follows a percentile system. So, it’s not very difficult to score.
Other: I chose this course because, in Kolkata, we don’t have a lot of good options for psychology, and other courses are fairly fine. They generally provide what they claim to provide, and it is a theoretical-based course, so that’s about it. There is an annual fest, Amiphoria, and there is an annual sports event, Sangathan. The crowd, infrastructure, and extracurricular activities at Amity are good. I would like to improve this course by adding more hands-on experience. We do have an internship that is provided and it is compulsory, but other than that internship, which lasts about six weeks to 2 months, there is no other practical exposure given.

Our college has a good infrastructure and helpful faculty members.
Placements: Students from our course got placed in various reputed institutions like NIBS, Kolkata, Apollo Hospital, etc. Many have secured the positions of psychologists and researchers. We have famous alumni. Some of them have agreed to teach in the same institution.
Infrastructure: We have air-conditioned classrooms and a very informative library. We also have more than one canteen. We have a sports building as well. The college emphasizes not only academics but also extracurricular activities. The food in the canteen is healthy, and the environment of our campus is refreshing.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The teaching scheme is job-oriented. The course makes us industry-ready. The pass percentage is high. We are made to learn teamwork and cooperation. Class projects are given for us to gain in-depth knowledge of the course.
Other: There are a lot of activities held on campus. The psychology department has its fests for better learning and student exchange.

Our college has good fests and a campus life with great learning experiences.
Placements: The psychology department didn't have placements or internship opportunities. However, other departments have good placements, as I had heard the MBA department had good placements. But, I am not aware of any placements in our department. Other than that, my other experiences were great.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are amazing with Wi-Fi accessibility. The library had a wide range of course-related books. Canteen food is decent with a good variety. Most of the instruments were in psychology labs. The medical facilities were good, and the hostel had a separate canteen. Our classrooms had projectors.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are amazing and helpful. PowerPoints were used to teach, which was helpful. Our course curriculum is good and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams were moderately difficult. Teachers provided proper study materials and ppts, as well as pdfs of good reference books.
Other: I loved psychology, so I opted for it. I think the more practical experience could have been given. The events and fests in our college were mind-blowing. I enjoyed it a lot. The most awaited were the fests of Amity.
