AILET Syllabus 2025 (UG & PG): English, GK, Logical Reasoning Syllabus & Important Topics

The AILET Exam 2025 was conducted for admission to BA LLB, LLM and PhD courses on December 8, 2024 from 2 PM to 4 PM. Candidates can check the syllabus for AILET 2025 for all the programmes offered by National Law University (NLU) Delhi below:

The National Law University Delhi changed the duration of the AILET BA LLB exam in 2023. The exam authority increased the duration of the exam from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. Thus, the duration of the AILET 2025 BA LLB exam will be 120 minutes. The number of questions in the exam will be 150. 1. AILET BA LLB Exam Sections: There will be three sections in the question paper for the AILET 2025 BA LLB exam: English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. 
2. AILET BA LLB Exam Duration: The duration of the AILET 2025 BA LLB exam will be 120 minutes (2 hours). Candidates will have to answer 150 multiple-choice questions within 120 minutes. 
3. AILET BA LLB Section Weightage: Check out the details related to sectional weightage for the AILET 2025 BA LLB exam below:

• The sectional weightage for the English Language section in the AILET 2025 BA LLB examination will be 50 marks. This section will have 50 questions. 
• The weightage of the Current Affairs & General Knowledge section in the AILET BA LLB exam 2025 will be 30 marks. There will be 30 questions in this section.
• The weightage of the Logical Reasoning will carry the maximum in the AILET BA LLB exam, which is equal to 70 marks. A total of 50 questions will be asked in this section, each carrying 1 mark.

AILET questions will carry 35 questions of one mark each for English. The section will be based on topics of General English and grammar as under:

• Grammar
• Reading Comprehension
• Inference-based questions

• Word Usage
• Foreign Words/Phrase
• Para Jumble

The section will carry 35 marks from the total score. Candidates will be attempting questions from General Knowledge and Current Affairs based on the topics as under:

• Eminent personalities
• Sports
• Awards and honours

As per the new exam pattern of AILET LLM 2025, there will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based only. The test paper will consist of 100 MCQs with each question carrying 1 mark. All the 100 MCQs will be from the different branches of Law.. The question paper pattern for AILET LLM will be as under:

In 2023, the NLU made some changes in the exam pattern and syllabus of the AILET LLM exam. The following changes have been made to the question paper of AILET LLM:

• There will be NO MORE TWO sections - Section A and Section B
• There will be 100 MCQs.
• The questions will be asked from different branches of law.
• Final AILET 2025 Merit Rank - It will be prepared considering the scores of the candidates.
• Tie-breaker - If two or more candidates secure the same marks, then merit rank will be decided considering

  • Computerized draw of lots.
