Q. Did you expect to clear AIBE Exam?

A. Since I was a recent law graduate, I believe in what I studied in the 5 years of my graduation, so I was confident enough that I could pass the AIBE Exam, as we just need to qualify the bare minimum passing percentage, and it’s a must to work as an advocate in the long run, so one needs to work hard.

Q:   Is AIBE an open-book exam?

A:

Till 2020, the All India Bar Examination was an open-book exam. However, in 2021 Bar Council of India changed this pattern. This means that students can no longer take the help of books and study material to attempt or solve the question paper. That being said students are still allowed to carry Bare Acts without notes with them. For more details, you may visit the Shiksha AIBE exam page. (https://www.shiksha.com/law/aibe-exam).

I hope this will help you.

Q:   Is AIBE exam easy or difficult?

A:
As per the exam analysis of AIBE question paper in the previous years, the question paper of AIBE is generally moderately difficult with major focus on current events in law domain with respect to core legal subjects. Every year, AIBE exam is expected to be of easy to moderate difficulty level. However, BCI plans to make testing parameters stricter, in upcoming sessions, therefore, candidates can expect it a bit tougher than past years. Candidates can find out difficulty level of AIBE over the last few years here - https://www.shiksha.com/law/aibe-exam-analysis.

Q:   How will I know about the AIBE exam centre allotted to me?

A:

AIBE exam centre 2024 will be allotted along with the admit card. Candidates are advised to check the admit card to know about the exam centre and other crucial details. Apart from name and address of allotted AIBE exam centre, the admit card comprises details such as exam date, timing, exam day guidelines etc. Date for admit card release is published along with the information brochure on the official website. Candidates have to download the admit card for AIBE 2024 after logging and providing details such as application ID, password and others.

Q. Which law subject did you feel was more challenging? And took more time for preparation?

A. Talking about which specific subject was challenging, I would say CRPC (the Code of Criminal Procedure) and CPC (the Code of Civil Procedure), as those two are procedural laws, and one needs to have a basic understanding of them to go forward and understand the question in itself, as well as the case study-based questions.

Q. How did you manage time between the full-time job and AIBE Preparation?

A. Well, working as an intern in itself is not that much of a task, plus I was exploring the operations field, which is on a different tangent than legal studies, and at the time of the exam, I had recently joined the organization, so it wasn’t much of a hassle. Additionally, if you have survived a law firm environment, you can survive anything.

Q. Do you feel coaching plays a very important part in clearing AIBE Exam?

A. If your basics are clear, then you just need to brush up on the major contents and laws, which are of greater weightage in the exam, and you are good to go. But if it has been a while since you last took a look at the books, then coaching will play an important role, for sure.

A:

The bar examination is no longer an open book examination. Therefore, candidates appearing for AIBE 19 should be careful of choosing best books for AIBE preparation. However, getting best books for AIBE examination can become a challenge as the syllabus is vast.  Candidates appearing for the bar examination must prepare with Bare Acts without comments. Q:   Is All India Bar Examination (AIBE) tough?

A:

Yes, AIBE is indeed tough. Candidates who qualify in the AIBE exam are issued COP certificates that allow the candidates to practice law in a court of law in India. Without the COP certificate, one cannot practice law in Indian courts. Both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB graduates are eligible to appear in the AIBE exam.  Hence, it is not only tough but indeed mandatory for lawyers. In order to crack AIBE exam, candidates need to make sure that they are consistent and regular with their preparation.

Q:   How many chances are given to a candidate to clear the AIBE exam?

A:
There is no limit on number of attempts a candidate can make to clear All India Bar Examination. They can attempt the examination any number of times until they qualify it with a PASS remark in AIBE result. The Bar Council of India has earlier stated that candidates must ensure qualifying AIBE within two years of enrollment, however, it does not mean that they cannot appear for AIBE after that period or they only get two attempts. Rather, it means that if candidates are not able to qualify AIBE within two years of enrollment, then they will be required to re-enroll or get an extension for their provisional enrollment from their state bar council. Q:   How do I prepare for AIBE XIX exam?

A:

To prepare for upcoming session of AIBE examination, candidates should be well-versed with the syllabus and exam pattern have a proper study timetable read best AIBE preparation books keep a track of important law judgements practice past years' AIBE question papers. The AIBE preparation procedure is difficult but, when done well, may be rewarding. To thoroughly prepare for the exam, a lot of effort and attention are needed. But you can make sure you're well-prepared and ready to ace the AIBE with the appropriate plan and direction.

Q. What was your study plan for AIBE?

A. For me, it was more of a paper-oriented approach as I knew that the AIBE Question Paper would consist of MCQ’s only. I gave all the laws a thorough look and then tried solving some mock tests whenever needed, plus it was an open book exam, so I had that in mind that it wouldn't be a problem because of that.

Q. How did you manage your strengths and weaknesses while preparing for the AIBE Exam?

A. Since I knew that substantive laws are my strengths, I kept them aside most of the time and worked on the procedural part because they comprise a major component of the paper, and every year, almost 50 percent of the questions are from them only.

Q. Was Law always your choice as a career?

A. Well, yes, becoming a lawyer and choosing law as a career was my choice from the very beginning, and I had a tendency towards the judicial services as well, so it was a good thing for me to go forward with.

 Q. Any tips for students who are planning to appear in AIBE 19 Exam?

A. Firstly, those appearing in the AIBE Exam shouldn’t be stressed about the same, because if they have done satisfactorily in their college time they will be able to pass the exam easily as only bare minimum is required to clear the same but one shouldn’t take it too lightly, because there is a reason many people have failed this year maybe they had taken it for granted. Secondly, you should be carrying the Bare Acts with you, and you must know how to quickly read the Bare Acts and be on the section or the page you are required to be on to solve the particular question and one shouldn’t worry about the time given, cause trust me it's already too much.
