AIBE 19 (XIX) 2024 Exam:The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) will be held on December 22, 2024. The exam will be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm. The exam authority, Bar Council of India provides exam day guidelines for all candidates on the admit card of AIBE 2024. Candidates are advised to read guidelines/ instructions carefully before appearing for AIBE 19 Exam.

AIBE XIX (19) 2024 is an open-book exam. Candidates will not be allowed to carry books and study materials in the examination hall. However, certain items that helps the candidates to attempt the AIBE will still be allowed. AIBE 19 Exam Day Guidelines 2024 and Important Instructions

Q:   How to get previous years papers for AIBE 2024?

A:
Earlier, the exam authority provided the question paper of AIBE English language) on the official website. However, after vernacular languages have been included in the question paper, the exam authority no longer uploads the question paper on the official website of AIBE. Rather, it is available only with those who attempt the examination. Candidates who take the examination are only able to view it when raising objections on it at the time of answer keys objection process. Candidates can, however, obtain previous years papers for AIBE as available on Shiksha website - https://www.shiksha.com/law/aibe-exam-question-papers The question papers available here are official papers as collected from the past 3-4 years. You can download AIBE question papers and practice with simple registration process.

Q:   Is there any dress code for AIBE exam?

A:

No, Bar Council of India has not prescribed any dress code for this examination. However, candidates are expected to wear comfortable clothing on the day of the examination. Candidates are advised to read all the guidelines mentioned on the AIBE 2024 admit card carefully so that there is no hassles at last moment at exam centre. Candidates are advised to arrange important documents to be carried at the centre in advance. AIBE 2024 Exam wil be held in pen-paper based mode.

Q:   What is AIBE 19 (XIX) Exam Date?

A:

AIBE 19 Exam 2024 date has been revised. The AIBE Exam 2024 will be held on December 22, 2024. Only those candidates who are enrolled with any state bar council are eligible to apply. AIBE 19 Exam will be conducted in 11 regional languages including english. The AIBE Exam 2024 will be conducted in offline, pen-and-paper mode acorss the country.

Candidates can check following instructions with respect to the admit card of AIBE 19 Exam and other documents: 

  • Carry AIBE 19 (XIX) 2024 admit card as color printouts. It should be clear (not faded texts) and crisp (not twisted/ turned or torn). Nothing should be written on it, not even a single dot. 
  • Carry a photo Identity proof as issued by a competent authority approved by government of India. The documents allowed are - Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driver's License, or Enrollment ID as issued by State Bar Councils. 
  • Carry two passport-size photographs (recent and matching with the admit card photo) to be on safe side (in case requested by the exam authority)

Given below are the important dos and don'ts for AIBE 18 2024 exam day. Candidates were guided to follow these dos and don'ts to have a hassle free exam day.

Carry a Blue/Black Ball Point Pen to fill the OMR answer sheet for AIBE 2023 

Don’t carry any stationary item other than a pen. Don’t carry electronic items including mobile phones, pager, watch, ipad and calculator.

Two copies of AIBE 18 admit card

Don’t carry eatables inside the exam venue.

Photo ID and a passport size photo

Don’t reach late. Gates will be closed at 9:50 AM.

Self-attest self-delaration form before reaching the test centre.

Don’t carry anything with yourself while coming out of the test room.

Reach the AIBE exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

Don’t resist frisking or identification procedures at the exam centre.

Wear simple outfits with plain cardigans and sweaters.

 

Don’t wear jewellery and jacket on the exam day.

Submit a copy of admit card and rough sheets to the invigilator.

Bare Acts allowed in AIBE 19 (XIX) 2024? 

Yes, Bare Acts will be allowed in the AIBE 19 Exam. As BCI will allow Bare Act without Short Notes, candidates can take note of the following guidelines for the Bare Acts:

  • Bare Acts without short notes (First Preference)
  • Photocopies of Bare Act without Short Notes
  • Downloaded/ Printout copies of Bare Act without Short Notes
  • Copies of Bare Acts with short notes or least note (if without notes could not be obtained in any condition)
  • Bare Act with Short Notes (May be allowed on request)

Candidates must not write anything on the Bare Act / Copies or they will not be allowed inside the examination hall (Candidates will be asked to leave it outside the examination hall).  

AIBE XIX (19) 2024 PWD/ Scribe Guidelines

Candidates belonging to PWD/ SAP/ PH categories (more than 50% disability) will be given 20 minutes extra time to complete their exam. Moreover, they can also bring a Scribe with them in case of locomotor disability. These candidates need to follow some guidelines as under:

  • Must provide a disability/ PWD/ PH certificate to the exam centre officials.
  • Bring your own Scribe, and he/ she must be a class 10th or 12th student (not from Humanities stream).
  • Scribe must carry their school identity card, age and address proof such as Aadhar Card.
  • No scribe can be available by the test centre officials.

Q:   Are Bare Acts allowed in AIBE 19 (XIX) 2024?

A:

Yes, Bare Acts will be allowed in the AIBE examination. All India Bar Examination website stated that " Bare Acts without notes are allowed. In case of unavailability of Bare Acts without notes, Bare Acts with least short notes will be allowed subject to the discretion of the Examiner/Invigilator".

Candidates were not allowed to carry books, any electronic items to the exam centre. AIBE is no more an open-book exam. The exam was held in 50+ cities across the country.

Q:   When is the next AIBE exam in 2024?

A:

The next AIBE exam in 2024 will be AIBE 19 (XIX). The Bar Council of India (BCI) released the official notification for the exam on August 24, 2024. The AIBE 19 exam will be conducted on December 22, 2024. AIBE (All India Bar Examination) is a certification exam that assesses an advocate’s capability to practice law in India. Q:   What are the important subjects for AIBE 2024?

A:
AIBE question paper will carry 100 objective-type questions, however, there are some subjects with higher weightage over the others, For example Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure Code, and Civil Procedure Code will carry 10 questions each. While IPC, Indian Evidence ACT Family Law, Law of Contracts, SRA, NIA, will carry 8 marks each. Q:   Has BCI released list of AIBE 2024 test centres?

A:

Yes, BCI has released the list of AIBE XIX 2024 test centres. The test centres list has been released along with the official AIBE 19 Notification. Candidates have to provide choice for AIBE 2024 centre while applying for the exam. A maximum of three options can be declared for exam city choice. BCI provide the exam centre to candidate along with the admit card for AIBE 2024. Once allotted, candidates request to change the exam centre will not entertained.

Q:   When will the Certificate of Practice' be issued to AIBE passed candidates?

A:
The Certificate of Practice' is generally issued within 30 days after the AIBE result declaration. However, it is available only after two months at the state bar councils. Candidates can download a digital copy using AIBESCOPE mobile application. AIBE XIX (19) 2024 reporting time

Candidates must report at the time mentioned in their admit card. Candidates can check the exact exam timings of AIBE 19 2024 on their admit card. Candidates are advised to report to the AIBE 19 test centre 2024 at least one hour before the commencement of the test. This way they can avoid the last-minute rush and appear in the examination comfortably.

AIBE 19 (XIX) 2024 Exam Day Schedule 

As the exam authority has revised the exam duration for AIBE XIX (reduced to 3 hours), candidates had to follow the exam day schedule as under:

Reaching the exam centre 08:00 am onwards
Instructions by exam centre officials  08:15 am onwards
Reporting begins at the centre 08:30 am onwards
Exam begins 10:00 am onwards
Last entry to be allowed 10:15 am

Exam ends for PWD/ Disabled candidates (50% disability) 01:20 pm
Exit allowed 01:45 pm onwards

To access your results, you  must log in using their User ID and Password on the official AIBE portal, using the same details they provided in their AIBE XIX application. The scorecard will include the candidate's roll number and qualification status, indicating whether they have passed or failed.
