Shiksha reported live from Gargi College, New Delhi where total 600 students took the paper. AILET 2019 was a mixed bag for BA LLB (Hons) students. While most students shared that the exam was tough, some felt that it was easier as compared to previous year. However, Legal Aptitude section of the exam was extremely lengthy this year, which made the AILET 2019 paper a race against time for students.

Section-Wise AILET 2019 Difficulty Level

According to Mohak Aggarwal from Delhi Public School, RK Puram, “This year the exam was more difficult and lengthier as compared to previous years. Last year, Legal Aptitude section was not that lengthy as it was this year. In English, questions were difficult and different from what we had assumed. Maths was of moderate difficulty level. Logical Reasoning section was easy.

Navya Aggarwal, who came all the way from Haldwani to appear for AILET 2019, shared, “I had PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) subjects in Class 12th but I changed my stream and opted for BA LLB course. This is my first attempt at the AILET exam for BA LLB (Hons) course. When I first saw the paper, I thought that I would be able to crack Maths questions easily but on attempting, I found them a bit difficult. In Logical Reasoning, Critical part was a bit tough but Analytical part was easy. I found some difficulty in attempting the English section of the exam due to high level of vocabulary. Coming to Legal Aptitude, had my legal knowledge been good I would have attempted the section more properly. Also, I could not judge the time inside the examination hall as there was no watch and teachers were outside the room. Due to this, I had to leave some of the Legal Aptitude questions.”

Mudit from DAV Public School, Ashok Vihar felt that AILET 2019 was a hard paper as compared to previous year. He said, “The level of questions in English was really high as compared to last year’s paper. Also, Legal Reasoning section was very lengthy. There were overall 40 pages and time given was very less. GK (General Knowledge) was the saving section and was comparatively easier. Maths was easy as well. In Reasoning, AR (Analytical Reasoning) questions were less in number as compared to CR (Critical Reasoning) questions.”

As per Muskan Sadhvan from St Francis de Sales Senior Secondary School, Janakpuri “I found English easy as there was only one reading comprehension. GK section mainly included current affairs so it was of moderate difficulty level. Legal Aptitude was easy as compared to previous years. Logical Reasoning was of moderate difficulty level. Coming to Maths, if you are good in the subject it was easy, otherwise difficult.”

Niharika from Dayawati Modi Academy, Meerut, said, “Overall, the paper was tough but as compared to last year it was easier. This year, among all the sections, Legal Aptitude section was the most difficult. GK and English sections were moderate. Maths was very easy. I think I will be able to crack the paper.”

Nidhi Nanda from Kamal Public Senior Secondary School shared, “Overall, the AILET 2019 paper was of moderate difficulty level as compared to last year’s paper. But the paper was really lengthy. According to me, LA (Legal Aptitude) was tough.”

Another student, Mini Raghav shared, “Overall, AILET paper was easy this year. Legal Aptitude was tough and lengthy. Maths was of moderate difficulty level. English was lengthy too.” As per Neha, “Overall, difficulty level of the exam was moderate but the paper was really lengthy. Legal Reasoning and English sections were extremely lengthy. GK was of moderate difficulty level. Maths was easy for me.”

As the law entrance exam is over now, NLU Delhi will declare AILET 2019 result for BA LLB (Hons) course on May 24. Stay tuned to Shiksha for all latest updates on AILET 2019 exam.

It's difficult to say if you can get into an NLU with an AIR of 15466 in CLAT 2024 As to get into one of the top Nlus, general category candidates should aim for a score of 90 or more in CLAT 2024. For SC/ST categories, 60–70 points is considered a decent score.

With a CLAT rank of 30,000, admission to National Law Universities (NLUs) is highly unlikely for their main campuses, as most of them have cutoffs well below this rank. However, you may still have chances in some newer or less competitive NLUs, especially in lower-category programs. It's important t

The National Law University (NLU) admission prospects are slim in view of a CLAT rank of 7616 and an EWS rank of 640. Most of the NLU cut-off ranks tend to be exceptionally lower as compared to general category and EWS candidates, even in some of the most sought-after courses like BA LLB.

As per the NLU Delhi BA LLB (Hons) AILET 2024 cutoff, the AILET  score for general category in 2024 stood at 71. The score for the same category and course stood at 106 in 2023 and 86 in 2022. Based on this trend, it can be said that getting a score between 80 and 90 would be good enough.
