NLU Delhi offers law courses i.e. five-year Intergrated BA LLB (Hons.) course at the undergraduate level, One-year LLM course at the postgraduate level, and PhD courses at the doctorate level. For admission to the law courses, NLU Delhi conducts its own law entrance exam known as the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), thus making it the only law school in India that does not accept the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

On the day of the exam, candidates must carry the following documents and items to the AILET centre:
- AILET admit card: Since, it is a mandatory document to be carried to the test centre, candidates must carry their admit card as issued to them. Candidates without a valid admit card on the day of the exam will not be allowed to take it.
- Photo ID proof: Along with the admit card, candidates must also carry an original photo ID proof issued by the Government of India. Documents that can be presented as an ID proof include PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card and Ration Card.
- Photo: Candidates should carry an attested passport size photograph (the same as uploaded at the time of filling the application form).
- Stationary: Since the AILET 2024 is an offline exam, candidates must carry at least two good-quality ball-point pens of blue or black ink and an HB pencil to the test centre
- Disability certificate: The certificate is mandatory for candidates who have applied under the Persons with Disability (PwD) category
- Other items such as an analogue watch, transparent water bottle, face masks, gloves and hand sanitizer are also to be carried to the test centre.

AILET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates appearing for the exam must carefully read the instructions mentioned on the admit card. Some important exam day guidelines are as follows:
- Candidates must report to their allotted test center at least an hour before the exam starts, i.e., by 1 PM, to allow sufficient time for verification by the exam center officials.
- Candidates should bring at least one valid photo ID proof, along with their AILET 2025 admit card. Accepted ID proofs include a PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Ration Card, or Passport (in original and with a photocopy).
- Candidates should carry their own pens (at least two) and one HB pencil for filling out the OMR answer sheet. The pens should be ballpoint, and the ink must be either black or blue.
- Candidates must avoid bringing any study materials or items like calculators, mobile phones, digital watches, iPads, or jewelry to the exam center.
- Adhering to these instructions is essential to ensure a smooth examination process.

- The candidate shall not open the plastic-sealed envelope containing the Question Booklet and OMR Response Sheet before 2:00 PM.
- Use only Blue / Black Ball Point Pen for writing the Roll No. details on OMR Response Sheet and for shading the circles. The candidates are required to put his/her signature and fill all the details such as Roll number, question paper booklet number on the space provided on the OMR Response Sheet.
- Test Paper is of 150 marks containing 150 Multiple Choice Questions, which will be in English.
- The candidate is required to select the most appropriate answer to each question. The answer circle should beshaded completely without leaving any space. Incomplete circles will not be evaluated.
- Indicate only one answer by shading from the options provided. More than one response to a question shall be counted 'wrong'.
- As per the AILET Entrance Test pattern, every correct answer will be given 1 mark and for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- The candidate must handle the OMR Response Sheet with care and must not fold, wrinkle, tear or staple it.
