The last date to submit CLAT 2025 Application Form was October 22, 2024. CLAT Application Form Correction Link was consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT also known as Common Law Admission Test will be held on December 1, 2024. CLAT is a national-level law entrance exam conducted for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. Q:   Is CLAT 2026 registration form out?

A:

No, the CLAT 2026 Application Form is not out yet. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is expected to begin the CLAT 2026 Registration Process in July and candidates can apply on or before the last date. CLAT 2026 Exam Date has not been announced yet. However, it is expected to be held on December 7, 2025. Candidates must note that CLAT 2026Application Form can be filled online only. Only those candidates who will fill CLAT Application Form 2026 successfully, will be issued CLAT admit card and will be allowed to appear in the CLAT Exam.

Q:   When can I fill CLAT form?

A:

The online application form of CLAT 2026 is expected to be released in July. The application form of CLAT 2026 will be made avaiable on the official website; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates can fill a single application form for all participating NLUs until the last date of CLAT Registration 2026.

Q:   When will CLAT 2026 application form be released?

A:

The online application form of CLAT 2026 has not been releasd yet. However, once released, the Consortium will give more than 2 months time to candidates to fill the CLAT 2026 application form. The application form of CLAT 2026 will be made available at consortiumofnlus.ac.in, and candidates can fill a single application form for all participating NLUs until the deadline. Q:   Can I fill CLAT application form in phases?

A:
Yes, you can fill the CLAT application form in phases. Each step of the CLAT application form will provide a 'Save' option using which candidates can save the filled-in information. In case, candidates want to exit and complete the application form next time then they simply need to log in again and continue from where they left. The application process of CLAT will be complete once candidates pay the fee and submit the form. Moreover, candidates can login again and correct their details in the application form of CLAT as long as the window is open.

Q:   How much is CLAT 2026 application fee?

A:

The application fee for CLAT exam was different as per the category of a candidate. For General/OBC/PWD/PIO/OCI/NRI, the application fee was INR 4,000 and for SC/ST/BPL category, the application fee was INR 3,500. Extra charges of INR 500 were applicable if candidates wanted to obtain previous years' CLAT question papers from the exam authority. Apart from CLAT application fee and cost of question paper bundle, candidates had to pay any other charges.

Q:   Is CLAT 2026 application form the same for all courses?

A:

The application form was same for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates could select your programme of study at the time of filling the application form. The first step of CLAT application process was to select the course of admission, and the application window/ dashboard showed two options - Undergraduate for 5-year LL.B. And Postgraduate for 1-year LL. M. course that candidates can opt for. CLAT application form was made available only for 5-year LL.B. And LL. M. course and the application fee was same for both course levels.

Q:   How do I find my CLAT registration ID?

A:
In case, candidates forgot the password required to login into their registered account, they could recover it by following the steps mentioned below:
  1. Visit the official website of CLAT Consortium
  2. Click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link in the Login window
  3. Enter the registered mobile number and click on ‘Request OTP’
  4. Enter the One Time Password (OTP) received on mobile
  5. Create a new password and proceed to login 

Once you retrieve your password, login and your registration ID was reflected on your screen.

Q:   What all documents required to apply for CLAT?

A:

Candidates can check the list of documents required to apply for CLAT 2026 below:

  • A scanned copy of front facing passport size recent photograph with a plain background
  • Scanned signature of the candidate
  • Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC or PwD candidates
  • BPL certificate (if applicable)

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates required to check the CLAT 2025 eligibility criteria before filling the CLAT 2025 Application Form. The CLAT 2025 eligibility for UG and PG courses was as under: 

UG CLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for CLAT UG 2025 could check the eligibility below: 

  • Candidates must secure the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):
  • Forty five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
  • Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
  • Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April, 2024 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2025 examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission"

PG CLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for CLAT PG 2025 could check the eligbility below:

  • An LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty percent (50%) marks or its equivalent grade
  • In case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Forty-Five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade
  • In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories
  • Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in April/May 2024 are also eligible to apply

How to fill CLAT Registration Form 2024?

The registration process for CLAT 2025 began from July 15, 2024. The registration window is the same for both the UG and PG candidates. The candidate can select the program of study at the time of filling out the application form. Candidates could follow step-by step process mentioned below to fill in the CLAT 2025 Application Form:

Step 1 - Online Registration:

  • Click on the registration link - consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • You will be redirected to a registration window
  • Click on the "Register" button
  • A registration form will open where you will have to enter registration details like name, mobile number, email id. Also, select and confirm a password for the candidate account.

Step 2: Filling CLAT Application Form 2025

To access the application form, you need to log in to the account using your phone number and password. Once you log in, you will see the following screen.    

Proceed to fill out the form.

  • Select the program of study: You have to select the Under Graduate (UG) 5-Year LLB Course or Post Graduate (PG) 1-Year LLM Course. Then press the "Apply for CLAT 2025" button.
  • CLAT 2025 application form - Personal details:

In this section, you will have to upload a photograph and your signature in jpeg/png format. Other details that have to be entered include the date of birth, mothers' and father's name, gender, nationality, All India Category under which admission is sought (SC/ST, OBC, or General). Reserved category, PwD, and BPL candidates need to upload the relevant certificate. Finally, mention the domicile state.

  • Enter Communication Details: In this section, enter your present and permanent address. 
  • Education Details: Select the qualifying exam from the drop-down menu, enter the name of the board (or university), appearing/appeared or passed, year and month of passing, and percentage. 
  • Enter Test Centre Preferences - In this section you have to select three exam centers for CLAT 2025 exam. Select Test Center Preference – 1 for the test center with the first preference. Use Test Center Preference – 3 for the least preferred exam center. The CLAT 2025 exam will be conducted in more than 80 CLAT test centers.

Enter Reservation Criteria

Candidates in this section could select categories individually for each NLU. Candidates who want to apply under additional categories could use this section. Candidates were advised to check CLAT Reservation Criteria 2025 and intake for seats reserved at all NLUs before filling CLAT application form. Candidates must note that except NLU Jodhpur, all other NLUs are offering domicile reservations. Candidates also had to upload a domicile certificate in PDF format, issued by a competent authority. NLU Preference List 2025:

Candidates are not allowed to submit the application form for CLAT 2025 until they select NLUs and courses in the order of their preferences. Candidates must note that candidates can only enter NLU preferences. After the last date of CLAT 2025 registration, candidates won't be able to make any changes to their NLU preferences. Step 3: Submission of the Application Form

Ensure that the various sections of the CLAT application form are duly and correctly filled. Note that all the details will be checked at the time of counseling registration, and any mismatch can lead to disqualification. Once you are satisfied that the application is complete in all respects - 

  • Agree to the declaration form
  • Select the Third Party Communication Details Agreement and Give your consent
  • Submit the form.

Once you agree to the agreement, give your consent and submit the application form, the following page will appear.

Step 4: Pay CLAT Application Fee

After submitting the application form, the candidate need to pay the application or exam fee, which is category-specific. Candidates can pay the application fee in online mode using (debit card/credit card/net banking). The mode of application fee payment is online.

Candidates could check the prescribed eligibility criteria before filling up the application form. Candidates could select their course i.e. 5-year LLB or one-year LLM programs while registering for the exam. To fill out the form, the candidate had to get registered, fill in personal, academic, and contact details, upload documents and pay the fee. CLAT exam fee is INR 4,000 for General and INR 3,500 for SC, ST, and BPL categories.

How to make correction in CLAT 2025 Application Form?

The Consortium of NLUs enabled the facility to update test centre preferences. To update their categories and test centres, candidates had to follow the steps to edit CLAT application as under:

  1. Click on the application correction link
  2. Login using mobile number and password
  3. Click on the Edit Application button
  4. Go to 'Category and Seat Reservation' for NLU preferences, as well as, Personal details tab for OBC category status, whether Non-Creamy Layer or Creamy Layer
  5. Make the required changes, Click on Next button
  6. Click on the declaration checkbox, and Save to submit the changes

How to edit CLAT 2025 Test Centres

Candidates who wish to opt for new exam centers or edit CLAT Test Centres 2025 were advised to follow the instructions given below:

  • Login to your CLAT account
  • Click the 'Edit Application' button
  • Go to the 'Test Centre Preferences' tab
  • Update the three Test Centre preferences as required
  • Click the 'Next (>)' button to go to the 'Reservation' tab. Scroll down, agree to the declaration, and click the 'Submit Form' button.

How to recover the CLAT 2025 login password?
