For those preparing for NEET PG 2025 exam, balancing their work with the preparation becomes a real struggle. Most of the candidates who appear for NEET PG 2025 are working as an intern during the preparation phase. Q:   Which part is difficult in NEET PG syllabus?

As such no section is easy in NEET PG syllabus. Some candidates may find clinical section easy while others may perceive para clinical as difficult. In reality, all the three sections clinical pre and para clinical are equally difficult and candidates have to devote good amount of time to prepare in and out of every subjects. It must be noted, a good number of questions are clinical based, so this section holds huge importance.

Some topics of pre and para clinical are utmost important as lots of questions are from them. Point is candidates should prepare all three sections in such manner so that 90 percent questions can be answered easily. Last year, clinical section was difficult in comparision to other two sections.

Q:   How to study effectively to score good rank in NEET PG exam?

A:

Before starting NEET PG preparation, candidates need to have plan and strategies in place. Effective time management is crucial for the preparation. First of all take stock of the situation where actually you stand in terms of preparation. You should ask yourself following questions:

  • Which are the topics your are confident at
  • Which are the subjects which needs more attention
  • Which are the subjects where you need to start from scratch
  • What are your srength and weakness

These are some of the prembles of your preparation strategies. Following after make daily schedule allocating specific time for each subject. Try to cover those subjects first where you feel confident of scoring well. Try to finish syllabus at least a month before exam.

A:

NEET PG 2024 question paper was difficult as compared to last year. The overall difficulty level of the question paper was  moderate to difficult. More than 80 pecent questions were based on clinical scenerio. A good number of questions were asked from topics such as Surgury, Gynaecology (OBS GYNE) and other topics. 160-170 questions were easy to attempt.

Finding a mentor

NEET PG 2025 preparation can be a whole lot easier if you find a mentor for yourself. Seek help from anyone who has cleared the examination before you. Self-study

A crucial part of your preparation is the time when you read and revise on your own. Self-study should comprise at least 60% of the total time that you spend studying each day. Self-study would also include the time that you spend on revision every day.

Q:   Is MD a 2 year postgraduate medical course?

A:

No. MD is 3-year postgraduate medical degree course in general medicine. MD stands for doctor of medicine. Except, PG Diploma which is 2-year medical course, all postgraduate medical degree courses are 3-year. MS is also 3-year course in surgery. Only candidates who have MBBS degree from a recognised institutes/colleges can apply for MD/MS courses. NEET PG is conducted to get admission into MD courses.

Q:   How much time is sufficient for NEET PG preparation?

A:

This depends on a number of factors. Preparation time may vary from candidate to candidate as per their individual ability. On an average candidates should have 3-5 months to give their best shot at NEET PG. Out of 5 months preparation time, 2 months can be dedicated for topic preparation, 1 months for revision and rest for mock test and practising sample papers. Candidates should plan in such a way so that lengthy and difficult subjects can be covered within 1-2 weeks while easy and short subjects to be covered in 3-5 days.

Q:   Was NEET PG 2024 exam difficult?

A:

NEET PG 2023 exam was easy as compared to last year. The overall difficulty level of exam was easy to moderate. Most of the questions were direct, only 8-10 questions were confusing. More than 80 pecent questions were based on clinical scenerio. A good number of questions were asked from topics such as Contraception, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBS GYNE), Mycology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry. 170-180 questions were easy to attempt. 

Q:   Is 450 good score in NEET PG?

A:

Based on the analysis provided, a score of 450 is not considered a good score in NEET PG. The cutoff percentile for NEET PG 2024 is different for candidates belonging to different categories, but a score of 450 would fall under the low score category for all categories. To qualify the examination, a candidate needs to secure more than or equal to the cutoff percentile prescribed by the NBE, which is different for each category. Therefore, a score of 450 may not be sufficient to secure admission to a good college.

Coaching only on weekends

To get the most out of the coaching institutes, join weekend classes. One of the many benefits of joining weekend coaching is that you will not be a rush to go anywhere. This will help you focus better in the classes or tests. Also, you will be able to spare time for doubt-clearing sessions and discuss the topics that you are finding difficult. Weekend coaching classes will also ensure that you have enough time for self-study during the weekdays.

Practice papers and mock tests

Another important part of the preparation phase is solving NEET PG 2025 mock tests and sample papers. You have to dedicate sufficient time for these in while preparing the time table. You must also ensure that you spare some time for the analysis of the results of these mock tests.

Plan ahead for the revision

The last tip to prepare for NEET PG 2025 with a job is to be regular for work during the preparation phase. Saving on all the unnecessary leaves will give you extra days before the examination. You can avail of these extra leaves just before the examination and spend this time on revision. This will also help you stay focused during the last few days of your preparation.
