NEET 2024 Exam Centre (Released): Check State-wise NEET exam city list with Code

The admit card for NEET 2024 was available in online mode only. Candidates had to follow the steps given below to download it:

• • Visit the NEET 2024 website – neet.ntaonline.nic.in or directly enter the link https://neet.ntaonline.in/frontend/web/admitcard/index

  • Click on the link Download Admit Card

  • Enter NEET 2024 Application Number and Date of Birth along with the Security Pin

  • Download the NEET 2024 Admit Card

  • Take multiple printouts

 

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to download the advance intimation of exam city slip for NEET 2024:

• Visit the NEET 2024 website - exams.nta.ac.in/NEET or directly enter https://neet.ntaonline.in/frontend/web/advancecityintimationslip/index

• Click on the link 'Click Here for City Intimation'
• Enter NEET 2024 Application Number and Date of Birth
• Enter the Security Pin
• Download the NEET 2024 City Allotment Slip

Candidates will have to select the exam centre while filling the NEET application form 2024. Out of the total number of exam cities, they have to select two exam cities in decreasing order of their preference and priority. Till 2022, candidates could select four cities. The list of cities appearing in the drop-down menu will be limited based on the present and permanent address provided during the NEET 2024 registration process. Selecting the feasible NEET exam centre 2024 is crucial to avoid any delay in reaching the centre. While selecting the exam centre city, candidates should consider the distance, availability of modes of transport and last but not least, familiarity with the route to the centre.

Hence, candidates should choose the exam city which is closest to their residence. Travelling on the day of the examination can be a hectic task and may cause panic/anxiety deterring the performance. NTA designates the NEET exam centre based on preferences filled by the candidates according to the availability of seats at the corresponding exam centre. The exam centres of NEET 2024 will be allotted keeping in mind the preferences chosen by the candidate such as the language and the centre date so that candidates can have assistance in their regional language. According to the NTA policies and guidelines, the centre allotted to the candidates can not be changed thereafter. 

The number of NEET exam cities has increased from 499 to 554. However, the major cities and centres remained the same. In this section, we bring the list of cities across top states where NEET exam cities 2024 will be located. 

The complete list of NEET 2024 exam cities has been announced by NTA along with the information brochure. As per this year's statistics, the highest number of NEET 2023 exam centres was located in Uttar Pradesh followed by Bihar and Maharashtra. Some other states which has a high number of exam cities which is 30 or above include Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, to name a few. Even though originally NEET 2024 was not slated to be held in international cities, later it was announced by NTA that the NEET 2024 exam centres will be located in 14 international cities across Asia and Africa. These cities are the same as last year. The following table brings the list of counties and cities where the NEET exam will be conducted this year. 

NTA will release the NEET 2024 exam city allotment slip, or the NEET advance intimation of the exam city slip in the fourth week of April, a week prior to the exam day. Candidates will have to download it by logging in to the NEET 2024 official website. Clarifying the difference between the NEET city allotment list and the admit card, NTA has stated, "The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for NEET (UG) - 2024. This is advance information for the allotment of the City where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates. The Admit Card of NEET (UG) – 2024 shall be issued later."

The total number of NEET exam centres list will be released after the exam is conducted. Over the last five years, the number of NEET centres has increased by almost five times i.e from 750 to over 4,000. Also, with the increase in test centres, NTA has been able to reach out to many cities and has recorded a jump of around four times, from 50 to more than 500 exam cities in past five years. The regional language option will be available at selected exam centres for NEET 2024. Thus candidates should have clarity while selecting the language for NEET 2024 while choosing the exam centre. The table given below summarises the availability of language/medium options in the NEET 2024 exam centres. Candidates needed to follow the instructions given below at the NEET 2024 exam centre:

• Candidates had to report to the NEET exam centre at the 'reporting time' mentioned on the admit card.

• The last entry into the NEET 2024 exam centre hall was at 1.30 PM.

• They should not have carried prohibited items such as geometry/ pencil box, calculator, log table, slide ruler, any paper or textual material, bags, electronic items, mobile phones, etc.

• Test-takers were not allowed to carry any eatables inside the NEET exam centre. However, diabetic students are allowed to carry fruits/ sugar tablets.

• Candidates should have left the NEET test centre one by one and must have waited for their turn to avoid crowding outside the centre

• Candidates were also advised to visit the NEET exam centre 2024 a day before the examination to avoid delays on the exam day and to get familiar with the location.
