Assam NEET PG counselling 2024Â is being conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam for the academic year 2024-25. The Assam NEET PG 2024 counselling Round 2 registration process was conducted from December 12 to December 14, 2024. The choice filling process was conducted from December 15 to December 19, 2024. The seat allotment result was declared on December 23, 2024. As many as 642 candidates were allotted seats.

The document verification for the provisionally allotted candidates had to be done on December 26, 2024, and the institute reporting and joining was done from December 27 to 28, 2024.
DME Assam released the Assam NEET PG 2024 Round 1 seat allotment result on November 26, 2024. As many as 680 candidates were allotted seats. The document verification was conducted from November 28 to November 29, 2024, 10 AM onwards at the DME Assam office. Candidates with revised State Merit Ranks from 5 to 262 had to report on November 28, 2024, and from 265 to 1577 had to report on November 29, 2024. Along with the requisite documents, they need to fill up and sign the mandatory undertaking. The institute reporting was conducted from December 3 to December 4, 2024.

DME Assam released the revised merit list for the Assam NEET PG 2024 counselling. As many as 1,578 candidates have been included in the merit list. Only those candidates who have been featured in the merit list are eligible to participate in the Assam NEET PG 2024 counselling process.

The Assam NEET PG 2024 counselling registration process was conducted from November 18 to November 20, 2024. The choice filling process was conducted from November 21 to November 23, 2024, and the choice locking window was opened on November 23, 2024, from 4 PM to 11.55 PM.Â
Candidates have to register and submit the application form for Assam NEET PG admission. Only those candidates who qualified for NEET PG with the minimum cutoff are eligible to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment. Assam NEET PG counselling have to be register on the official website, dme.assam.gov.in. As part of registration, candidates have to provide NEET PG rank, personal, academic and contact details.
DME will release a merit list of eligible candidates for participating in the Assam NEET PG counselling 2024. A total of three rounds of counselling will be held for seat allotment. Eligible candidates will have to declare choices and lock the same in the given deadline for Assam NEET PG counselling. Seats will be allotted based on state rank, choice declared, seats available in particular colleges and courses, reservation factors etc. It must be noted that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will hold counselling for 50% of All India Quota seats while the state counselling authority conducts counselling for the rest of the 50 per cent seats.

Assam NEET PG Counselling: Merit List
DME releases a merit list of candidates who applied for Assam NEET PG counselling for seat allotment. The merit list is released online comprising details such as name, category, marks scored in NEET PG, All India Rank, State rank, etc. It must be noted that the merit list only includes candidates whose applications are received by the deadline. Candidates shortlisted in the merit list are deemed eligible for Assam NEET PG Counselling. They have to fill preferences for choices and lock the same.

Assam NEET PG Application Form
DME released the Assam NEET PG application form online. Candidates will have to submit NEET PG details including rank, personal information, contact details as part of the registration process. It must be noted that only those who qualify for NEET PG can apply online for Assam NEET PG admission. Applicants also have to pay fees, both refundable and non-refundable fee to submit the application form for Assam NEET PG admission. The registration fee is non-refundable while the security deposit is refunded after admission.

Assam PG Medical Admission: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfil certain eligibility criteria for Assam NEET PG admission. Some of the eligibility criteria have been enlisted below:

Domicile: Candidates must be the permanent resident of the State.

Academic Qualification: They should have an MBBS pass certificate from any college/institute/university affiliated with the Medical Council of India.

Internship: Candidates must have completed 1-year internship within the stipulated date as stated by NMC.

Registration Certificate: Candidates should have obtained a medical registration certificate from NMC or State Medical Council (SMC).

Assam NEET PG Counselling
Assam NEET PG Counsleling involves starts with the registration and submission of the application form. In addition, it also includes the declaration of merit list, choice filling and locking, seat allotment result, and reporting. Assam NEET PG Counselling: Choice filling
Candidates included in the merit list have to declare choices for courses and colleges for Assam NEET PG seat allotment. The choice filling has to be done by registered candidates on the official website. They have to log in with the registration number and password and declare choices. Candidates also have to lock the choices till the last date otherwise it gets locked automatically after the deadline. Seats are allotted based on different criteria including choices declared and NEET PG rank. Seat allotment result is released separately for each round of Assam NEET PG counselling.
