Entrance exams for Physiotherapy

There are several institutions and institutes across India and abroad that provide Physiotherapy programmes. Candidates who want to enrol in a physiotherapy programme must first pass the admission tests that are organised by the various institutions in which they wish to enrol.

The tests listed below are for both the national and state levels, and they are required to gain places in Physiotherapy programmes at some of India's most prestigious universities. Passing the 10+2 test with good marks is a minimum requirement for taking these examinations. Every test has its own set of cutoff standards for those scores, which vary from one another.

  • Common Entrance Test (CET)

  • All India Medical Entrance Examination (AIMEE)

  • GGSIPU Physiotherapy Entrance Exam

  • JIPMER All India Entrance Exam

The Class 12 curriculum will be the basis for the Physiotherapy Entrance Exam questions. Applicants will be tested on their proficiency in the English language in the first portion. It will also ask questions about one's ability and knowledge. To test the applicants' knowledge of the topics they learned in high school, there will be a second portion of questions.

Physiotherapy Subjects for Distance Programmes

Students who are unable to finance full-time courses may get their degrees via distance learning.

Only a few colleges offer Doctor of Physical Therapy degree programmes that include both online coursework and clinical training in a hospital, clinic, or private practice setting. Physical therapists who are currently in practice and have earned a bachelor's or master's degree in physical therapy but want to further their education in areas such as radiography, pharmacology, and diagnostics can consider enrolling in one of these programmes.

Additionally, students who are unable to satisfy the eligibility criteria for full-time courses may choose to enrol in part-time or distance learning.

  • The curriculum of distant education programmes is strikingly similar to the curriculum of traditional schools.

  • Almost exactly the same as in standard courses, the evaluation structure (30 per cent for internal assessment and 70 per cent for the final semester test) is used for this course.
