As per the WB NEET counselling dates 2024 for special stray vacancy, round 3, the choice filling and registration last date is December 24, 2024. The counselling schedule was released on the website at wbmcc.nic.in.

The seat allotment result will be declared on December 27, 2024. The document verification and admission will be done between December 28 and 30, 2024, between 10 AM to 4 PM

Earlier West Bengal NEET counselling dates 2024 for special stray vacancy rounds were released by the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) on November 22, 2024. The West Bengal NEET counselling for stray vacancy round registration 2024 was started on November 25, 2024 (11:00 AM) and the last date to register for the exam was November 26, 2024 (6:00 PM). After the registration, the publication of the seat matrix was released on November 28, 2024

The WB NEET counselling choice filling & locking could done between November 28 (after 4 PM) to November 29, 2024 (midnight). After this, the West Bengal  NEET counselling stray vacancy round seat allotment result 2024 was out on December 3, 2024 (after 4 PM). As many as 131 candidates were allotted seats in this round. The stray vacancy round counselling reporting was done between December 4 and 5, 2024.

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) released the WB NEET seat allotment for the stray vacancy round on November 1, 2024, in online mode. The list of verified candidates and the seat matrix for the stray vacancy round of West Bengal NEET was released on October 28, 2024. Along with releasing it, WBMCC opened the window of choice filling which could be done from October 28 to 29, 2024.  

Earlier the list of successfully verified candidates and seat matrix of WB NEET UG Counselling for round 3 was released on October 16, 2024. It comprised details like All India Rank, name, category, candidate type etc. The choice filling for round 3 could be done between October 16 to 17, 2024 and West Bengal counselling round 3 seat allotment results were released on October 21, 2024. The reporting & admission at the alloted institutes could be done between October 22 and October 23, 2024

The official West Bengal NEET counselling dates were out. The WB NEET counselling information brochure was released on August 20, 2024 (4 PM). The WB NEET counselling registration commenced on August 21, 2024, and students could register till August 23, 2024. 

The West Bengals third round NEET counselling will be conducted only if seats are left vacant after the second round. Generally, the mop-up round or the stray vacancy round of WBMCC is organised offline. Candidates who qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) this year will be eligible to participate in the WB counselling process. Q:   Can I fill the application form for West Bengal NEET Counselling offline?

A:

No, the application form will be available online only. Applications sent by post or any other mode will not be accepted. To participate in the counselling of WBMCC NEET, a candidate must possess a domicile certificate of this state. For a domicile certificate to be valid it needs to be signed by any of the higher authorities mentioned in the guidelines issued by the WBMCC.

West Bengal NEET Counselling 2024: Types of Domicile

To participate in the counselling of WBMCC NEET 2024, the candidate must possess a domicile certificate of this state. During the registration process the counselling, a candidate needs to choose from three options:

Proforma a1: Candidates have been residing in the West Bengal state for the past ten years (or more) as prescribed by the rules of MCC.

Proforma a2: Applicants who reside in West Bengal for the past ten years (or more) as prescribed by the rules of MCC. They must also have passed the class 12 examination in 2024 or before.

Proforma b: Candidates not residing in the state of West Bengal but one of their parents is a permanent resident of West Bengal and has a permanent address in West Bengal state.

WB Domicile Certificate Autorisation

For a domicile certificate to be valid, it needs to be signed by any of the following authorities:

  • District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Deputy Magistrate/ Deputy Collector/ Sub Divisional Officer/ Block Development Officer
  • Superintendent of Police/ Additional Superintendent of Police/ Deputy Superintendent of Police/ Sub Divisional Police Officer
  • Commissioner/ Additional Commissioner/ Joint Commissioner/ Deputy Commissioner/ Assistant Commissioner of Police of Commissioner
  • Judicial Magistrate (any rank/ position) in the concerned District Court/ Kolkata High Court/ Supreme Court of India
  • Cooperation Area: Commissioner/ Additional Commissioner/ Joint Commissioner/ Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner
  • Assistant Security or above in the Secretariat of Government of West Bengal (including GTA) or Central Government
  • Deputy Director or above in the Directorate of Government of West Bengal/ Central Government

What is the process of West Bengal NEET counselling 2024?

The West Bengal NEET counselling 2024 process involves steps that candidates should take care of while applying. Below are the steps involved in West Bengal counselling 2024:

Step 1: Registration

  • Candidates have to register on the official website of WBMCC - wbmcc.nic.in
  • Selecting “New Registration”, they will be able to fill out the application form and create a profile for West Bengal NEET 2024 counselling
  • After completing the application form, the candidate has to choose the type of domicile (a1, a2 or b)
  • Pay the application fee online and print the receipt

Step 2: Document verification

Verification of documents is essential to participate in the counselling of West Bengal NEET 2024. Candidates must report to the verification centres with their original certificates. A candidate will be eligible to participate in West Bengal NEET counselling only after their documents have been successfully verified.

Step 3: Choice filling

After the verification process will be done, the choice-filling process will proceed. This is also an online process, and the candidate will have to log in to the registered account to complete it. They can choose as many colleges/ courses as they want. WBMCC will announce dates for choice declaration for round-1 West Bengal NEET counselling. Candidates can download last year's allotment list based on particular rank in the below-given link. This will help them declare their choices of college and course accordingly.

Step 4: Seat Allotment List

The WBMCC will release a seat allotment list before the start of each round. The seats will be allocated to the candidates based on the choices filled by them and the rank secured by them. The following details will be mentioned in the seat allotment list of West Bengal:

  • The current round of West Bengal NEET counselling
  • All India Rank secured in NEET 2024
  • Choice number
  • Name of the institute allotted
  • Course allotted
  • Category under which the seat was allocated
  • Category of the candidate
  • Status of allotment (Retained/ Upgraded/ Fresh allotment/ Not upgraded)

Step 5: Reporting to the institute

Candidates who have been allocated a seat in the counselling of West Bengal NEET 2024 should report to the respective institute for confirmation of admission. If a candidate fails to report to the institute, their candidature will be forfeited.

A:

The registration fee for West Bengal NEET 2024 counselling is expected to be INR 2,000 + transaction charges and INR 1,500 + transaction charges for reserved category candidates.
