The reason behind the 'no negative marking' policy is that the CTET is an eligibility exam and not a recruitment exam. The CTET exam is conducted in two levels- Paper 1 is for candidates interested in teaching classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is for candidates interested in teaching classes 6 to 8. Both the papers consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) wherein each question carries one mark.
