UPSC conducted the CAPF 2020 exam on December 20 amid the farmers’ agitation in New Delhi. Shiksha.com took the first reaction of the candidates who appeared in the UPSC CAPF exam 2020 at the UPSC examination hall at New Delhi.

The UPSC CAPF question paper followed the previous years’ trend and the CAPF question paper not surprised the candidates. The questions from the Ancient History were difficult in orientation and most candidates were unable to answer those questions correctly. Some candidates from the Humanities background could answer those questions.
The section-wise CAPF 2020 analysis is given below.
Indian Polity
The questions from the Indian Polity were good in number and the questions were of easy to the medium difficulty level. The UPSC always ask the questions related to the Speaker and working of Parliament in the CAPF question paper and this year was also not an exception. The questions were easy for the candidates preparing for the Civil Service Exam.
Indian Geography
Questions from the Indian Geography were also good in a number. The questions from this section were a bit difficult in orientation and the conceptual clarity of the Geography concepts was required. The questions from the current Geographic events such as the question about the Cyclone Amphan can be counted in the Current Affairs section as well. The overall difficulty level was medium to difficult.
General Science
The number of questions from the General Science section was more this year compared to the last year and some questions were difficult. The overall difficulty level of the General Science section was medium to difficult. The question required the crystal clear clarity of the Physics concepts and the candidates found them difficult to answer.
History
The questions from Modern History is always asked in the UPSC CAPF exam but this year, the questions from the Ancient History were asked in good number. History questions are factual in orientation and the candidates who did not remember the facts found it difficult to answer. The Ancient History questions surprised the candidates a bit. The overall difficulty level of this section was medium to difficult.
Indian Economy
The Indian Economy topics and preparation runs in tandem with Current Affairs. Most of the topics of Indian Economy is covered with the Current Affairs preparation. The number of questions asked in the UPSC CAPF question paper was very few. The difficulty level of the questions asked was medium to difficult.
Current Affairs
UPSC did not give importance to the Current Affairs section this year. The number of questions from the current affairs was far less than the expected numbers. It disappointed the candidates who devoted majority time to prepare Current Affairs a bit.
General Mental Ability
The number of questions from the quantitative aptitude was of moderated difficulty level. There were very few questions from logical reasoning. The most questions were easy, barring one or two questions. These questions were time-consuming. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.
