It is expected that over four lakh candidates will appear in the exam. UPSC CAPF (AC) 2022 exam notification was released on April 20. UPSC notified 253 vacancies in the official advertisement but it is expected that the vacancies would have been increased. UPSC CAPF exam provides a direct entry to the post of Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces. UPSC CAPF exam is akin to the Civil Service (IAS) prelims exam but the difficulty level of questions is not the same.
CAPF (AC) exam will be followed by the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical examination. The PET is conducted by the designated authority under the directions of the Ministry of Home. Mostly CRPF and ITBP are assigned the responsibilities of conducting the PET.
CAPF (AC) exam has two papers conducted in two sessions on the exam day. CAPF written exam is a combination of the objective and subjective exam conducted in two sessions. The candidates are required to answer the questions in the OMR sheet for the objective type question paper and write the answers in the provided answer sheet for the subjective exam.

We can say that the UPSC CAPF(AC) syllabus is an abridged version of the IAS Syllabus. The candidates are required to prepare all the topics mentioned in the official syllabus because there is no official communication about the weightage or breakup of the topics. UPSC can ask as many questions about a topic. Moreover, there are questions which can be said as inter-disciplinary questions that can be classified into more than one category.

Change Daily Routine
It is high time to condition your body as per the routine required for the exam day. The candidates should follow the routine required for the exam day to train the brain for the exam day. Practice with UPSC Question Papers
The candidates must practise with the UPSC question papers of previous years. The UPSC releases the answer key to these question papers. The easiest way to prepare from the previous year's question paper is to take the printout of the question paper and set the time limit to solve the question paper. The candidates should calculate the time allotted for one question. In the UPSC CAPF objective paper, 120 minutes are allotted to mark the answer of 125 questions. The candidates get little less than one minute for each question. So while practising the candidates should eliminate the current affairs questions from the previous year's question papers and the corresponding time should also be deducted. The exam-like conditions will give confidence to the candidates.
Tackling Negative Marking
There will be a negative marking in the objective type question paper of the CAPF objective question paper. The candidate should not attempt any question where the answer is not clear because the wrong answers can reduce the marks of the candidates drastically. Three wrong answers will eat up the marks of one correct answer, so it is very important to keep the number of wrong answers to a minimum.

Practice English for the Exam
The candidates should practice formats of writing such as reports and precise writing for the exam. Candidates should practise writing short sentences. The probability of mistakes in a brief sentence is less.
