Central university of Haryana admission through CUET

Central University of Haryana (CUH) offers admission to various UG courses through CUET UG 2024. CUET 2024 was conducted from 15 May to 24 May 2024 in over 300 cities in India and abroad. NTA released the CUET 2024 result on 30th June 2024. Candidates who appeared in CUET 2024 can participate in the counselling process which has begun July 2024 tentatively after the CUET 2024 results. 

Central University of Haryana (CUH) commonly known as Haryana University was established in 2009. Candidates willing to apply to Haryana University (CUH), must know about eligibility criteria, the admission process, and other important details. Read this article for complete information: 

Q:   Can I opt for several subjects in section II of CUET to apply for various courses?

A:

Yes, an CUET applicant can opt for one or more combinations of the following:

  • Section I: Language Test
  • Section II: Domain subject test
  • Section III: General Aptitude Test

Candidates will be able to opt up to a maximum of five subjects in order to apply to different applicable courses that require these subjects for being eligible for admissions. Candidates can choose subjects irrresptive of subjects studied in 12th grade under their eligibility conditions for a particular programme.

Q:   Does CUET require OBC certificate?

A:

Yes, OBC candidates applying for CUET must upload the OBC-NCL certificate in online CUET application form. The OBC-NCL certificate must be issued in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India. If candidate fail to upload the OBC-NCL certificate (issued on or after 01 April, 2024) at the time of CUET 2025 registration, then in such case they will have to upload a declaration in lieu of OBC-NCl certificate to that effect. 

Candidates belonging to reserved categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by Government of India. However, in the case of central universities admission, the reservation criteria of the respective university shall be applicable.

Q:   How do I apply for a college which requires CUET percentage even though am yet to give CUET?

A:

Candidates can apply for CUET score accepting colleges through CUET UG 2025 application form. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to enter the name of the preffered universities and courses in order of preference. On declaration of the CUET results, the scores will be shared with the unoversities for which candidate has applied. Basis on the score obtained candidate will be shortlisted for the applied course.

Central University of Haryana Admission 2024 through CUET : Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check eligibility criteria before applying for admission to the central university of Haryana. Candidates must fulfill CUET Eligibility criteria to appear in CUET 2024. Candidates must ensure that their CUET domain subjects are carefully chosen as per their desired UG course mapping. Q:   When can I apply for the CUET exam?

A:

National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the CUET UG 2025 registrations at cuetug.ntaonline.in. Candidates desirous of taking admission to University/college through CUET must fill the application form before the deadline. On the release of the CUET notification important dates for CUET 2025 will be announced. CUET 2025 application process will be in online mode. Candidates will be required to fill the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee in online mode only. CUET is a gateway to more tahn 250 universities across India for its UG courses.

Q:   Who is eligible for admission to the Central University of Haryana UG programmes?

A:

Candidates with at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (Class 12) or equivalent examination from a recognised board are eligible. For SC/ST/PWD/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, 5% relaxation is provided.

Q:   How many subjects can I choose for the CUET exam?

A:

From CUET UG 2025 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th. 

Q:   How do I select the domain subjects for CUET UG?

A:

Before selecting the test or domain subjects, candidates are advised to visit the official website of university/organaisation they wish to apply for. Candidates must check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. Candidates will be able to opt for one or more tests as per the requirement of the course and university fro  the following sections:

  • Section IA - 13 Languages
  • Section IB - 20 Languages
  • Section II - 27 Domain Specific Subjects
  • Section III - General Test

It is not mandatory to choose any one or more of the tests stated above. The choice of tests would depend on the course/s opted by the candidate and the University / Organization / Institution where admission is sought. 

Q:   How many students can do a BSc at Central University of Haryana - CUH?

A:

The students that are allowed to do a BSc at Central University of Haryana - CUH is as follows

  • For BSc Psychology the Intake seats are 40
  • For BSc Chemistry the Intake seats are 35
  • For BSc Mathematics the Intake seats are 35
  • For BSc Physics the Intake seats are 40

There are alloted seats for the categories like General Category, EWS Category, OBC NCL Category, ST Category and SC Category. The students who are eligible in the category wise allotment should be placed on the same category without fail.

Central University of Haryana Admission 2024 through CUET : Admission Process 

Haryana University(CUH) has begun its admission process soon after the CUET 2024 results. The admission process is completed through multiple stages. Desirous candidates must fill in the application form through the official admission portal of the Central University of Haryana(CUH). 

  •  Visit the official website of CUH admission portal: www.cuh.ac.in/admission 
  • Register yourself as "New registration" by filling in required details  
  • Log in using generated credentials 
  • Fill in personal & academic details in the application form 
  • Upload required documents [ X & XII certificate, Photograph, sign & category certificate
  • After reviewing the application form, pay the application fees and submit it. 

Central University of Haryana (CUH) will release a merit/rank list on the official admission portal based on CUET 2024 scores after closing the application form. Candidates will be offered the best possible seat as per their CUET 2024 score through seat allocation process. Once candidates accept the offered seat, Candidates must complete the payment for seat allocation else their candidature will be considered canceled

Haryana University has already announced the commencement date for the year 2024-25. Classes will begin for UG, PG, and diploma courses from July 2024, Exact dates will be released by authorities later.

  • 100% refund if withdrawal is 15+ days before the last admission date.
  • 90% if less than 15 days before, 80% if within 15 days after, and 50% within 30 days after the last admission date.

The Central University of Haryana offers entrance-based admissions. Candidates have to qualify for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to be eligible for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The university does not offer merit-based direct admissions.
