Yes, it is possible to appear for compartment exams and still appear for CUET and secure college admission within the same academic year.

These compartment exams are typically held a few months after the regular board exams and offer students an opportunity to reattempt any subjects they failed, thereby improving their overall pass percentage.

In situations where a student does not meet the admission requirements for college due to failing one or more subjects in their board exams, they can opt to take compartment exams with the aim of enhancing their grades. Once the results of the compartment exams are published, students can utilize their improved scores to fulfill the CUET college admission criteria.

It's essential to keep in mind that the admission procedures for each college and university can differ, and some institutions may have specific additional requirements or application deadlines for students intending to take compartment exams. Therefore, it is advisable to inquire about the admission policies regarding compartment exams at the respective college or university.

A. I just studied for my boards and that was enough to score good marks in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), since it’s not really a very tough exam.

Q. What was your last minute preparation strategy?

A. A few days before CUET I just opened my books and read everything once or twice and made a few notes for the chapters which were deleted from the NCERT for boards.

Q. Elaborate the sectional difficulty level of the exam? Highlight the books you preferred for CUET preparations?

A. The domain subjects were fairly easy, English was personally easy for me but it’s very subjective, if you have a stronghold on the language then it won’t be difficult at all.

A. Economics is my favourite subject, yes I studied from the NCERT but for Economics, I used Sandeep Garg book.

Q. What according to you is better for CUET preparation coaching or self-study?

A. I joined a coaching and it was beneficial for me since I didn’t prepare personally for General Test. My teachers helped a lot in the preparation. General Test is something where one might need some outside help. For domain subjects, it depends on how well you prepared for your board exams and studied throughout the year.

Q. Which universities did you apply for? Which university is your first preference?

A. I had applied for the Delhi University and Stephen’s College is my first preference. I am also going to apply to Jamia Millia Islamia for Economics honours.
