CUET Topper 2023 Adarsh Agarwall started his CUET exam 2023 preparation after taking a week's break post his board exams. With a normalised score of 784.87 marks, Devansh shared that he is extremely happy with his result. Talking about his preparation routine, he said that he completed CUET-UG syllabus 2023 with the help of some reference books and notes from his coaching. With dreams to pursue BCom (Hons) and then MBA, Adarsh says that aspirants must note that self-study is significant in CUET preparation journey.

Q: What is the difficulty level of the CUET exam?
The difficulty level of the CUET exam ranges from moderate to tough. Since the CUET UG exam is held for multiple subjects and slots, the difficulty level of the exam varies from subject to subject. Sometimes, the difficulty level may also vary for different slots. The difficulty level of exam is also relative and the same exam's level of difficulty may vary for different candidates. While for the well prepared candidates, the difficulty level will be low, for the underprepared students, the level of difficulty will be on the higher side.
Q: How can I prepare in these last days of preparation of CUET?
Preparing for an exam like CUET requires a strategic approach. Here are a few tips that can help you prepare effectively in these last days of preparation:
- Revise the syllabus: Make sure you have covered all the topics that are part of the syllabus. Go through each topic once again to ensure that you have a good understanding of all the concepts.
- Practice previous years' question papers: Solving previous years' question papers can give you an idea about the type of questions that can be asked in the exam. It can also help you identify your weak areas and work on them.
- Take mock tests: Mock tests can help you simulate the exam environment and give you an idea of your preparation level. You can also use them to practice time management.
- Focus on your weak areas: Identify your weak areas and work on them. Spend more time on topics that you find difficult to understand.
- Stay calm and confident: It's important to stay calm and confident during the exam. Avoid last-minute cramming and trust your preparation.
- Take breaks: Taking regular breaks can help you stay fresh and focused. Take short breaks after every hour or so of study.
- Get enough rest: Make sure you get enough sleep in the last few days before the exam. A good night's sleep can help you stay alert and focused during the exam.
Q: Is the CUET exam conducted in online mode?
From the year 2021 onwards, CUET is conducted in computer-based mode. Till 2020, the exam was conducted in paper-pencil based (PBT) mode. The exam will continue to be conducted in the computer-based mode or online mode. As per the CUET exam pattern, the exam was conducted in two to three slots, depending on the number of applications received in a subject. There were three sections on Language, Domain Subject and General Test (optional). The number of questions and marks will vary from paper to paper.
Q: You have scored more than 780 marks out of 800. Was this result expected? Please tell us about your first reaction.
A: 784.87 is my CUET-UG score. I had expected a score of above 750 but never thought it would be this high. I was extremely happy with my result.
Q: Tell us about your family and educational background?
A. I live in a joint family with my parents, grandparents, and younger brother. I have passed both 10th and 12th standard from SAI International School, Odisha.

Q: How was your board result?
A: I secured 97.2% in the 12th boards.
Q: When did you start preparing for CUET Exam? What all books did you refer to?
A: I started preparing for CUET only after boards after taking a 5 to 7-day break. I referred to some reference books and notes by Sunil Panda Sir for my CUET-UG Preparation.
Q: How much time did you devote to self-study? What do you feel is better, coaching or self-study?
A: I studied sincerely for 7-8 hours a day when I started preparing, I feel coaching is alright for concepts but self-study is very important.
Q: In which courses can I secure admission through CUET?
Through CUET, one can secure admission in various UG courses offered by 41 Central Universities, 36 State Universities, 29 Deemed Universities and 110 Private Universities and three other universities of India. The courses are offered across Science, Humanities, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Management and other streams. The number of participating institutes has increased exponentially this year.
Q: Is 350 a good score in CUET UG for the Central University of Jammu?
Central University of Jammu accepts CUET UG scores for admission to variou undergraduate and integrated courses. Central University of Jammu CUET UG cutoff 2023 has been released up to Round 5. CUET UG cutoff for Central University of Jammu ranged between 170.11 and 60. So, considering the previous year cutoff trends for Central University of Jammu, 350 is not a good score to get admission. Candidates can refer to the table given below to check out the previous year Round 1 CUET UG scores, which will give some idea for Central University of Jammu CUET first merit list:

Q: How difficult is it to crack the CUCET?
Q: How do I prepare for CUET UG and Board examinations?
The syllabus for CUET UG domain subjects will be based on class 12th to reduce the stress of preparing for both the exams. To prepare for CUET UG and Board examination, here are few important tips:
- Start early preparation for CUET UG and board exams. This will give you enough time to cover the syllabus, practice the questions, and get familiar with the exam pattern.
- Create a study plan: Once you are familiar with the syllabus for both exams, create a study plan that will help you cover all the topics in a systematic manner. Make sure to allocate enough time for each subject and topic.
- Focus on the subjects that you are struggling with. Consider taking a few practice CUET UG tests to see where you stand.
- Manage your time effectively. Practice answering questions under timed conditions so that you can get used to the pressure of the exam.
- Use the right resources. There are many resources available to help you prepare for the CUET UG and board exams. These include NCERT textbooks, practice questions, and mock tests. Use the resources that work best for you and that will help you improve your knowledge and skills.
Q: What is a good score in CUET UG?
On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2024-25, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other top central universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission to top universities:
- Very Good Score: 700 and above
- Good Score: 650 and above
Score range between 400-649 is considered an average score. Admission on the basis of the average score can et into any decent college in India accepting CUET scores.
Q: Which subject is your strong one and which is the weakest? Are NCERT books sufficient for preparations?
A: My strongest subject is Accounts and my weakest is Economics. Yes I believe ncert books are sufficient for preparation but questions can be practiced from different reference books.

Q: What was your exam day strategy? According to you, what was the toughest and easiest section?
A: I just revised the difficult concepts and formulas once. According to me accounts and bst were pretty easy whereas eco was a bit tough
Q: Which all universities did you apply for? What was your dream college?
A: I applied for Xavier’s Kolkata and DU. My dream college is Shri Ram College of Commerce.

Q: What are the courses you are looking forward to?
A: I am planning to do Bachelor’s in Commerce (honors) and then Master’s in Business and Administration (MBA).
Q: To whom do you attribute your successful CUET journey? What would you suggest to future CUET aspirants in terms of preparation, attitude, etc.?
A: I would like to thank my parents, teachers, friends and most of all Sunil Sir from whom I took online coaching for CUET, he helped a lot. My tips for the upcoming students would only be to thoroughly prepare for boards and study the new chapters (quite a few) after boards and revise the earlier studied chapters.
