Q:   What is a good score in CUET UG?

A:

On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2024-25, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other top central universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission to top universities:

  • Very Good Score: 700 and above
  • Good Score: 650 and above

Score range between 400-649 is considered an average score. Admission on the basis of the average score can et into any decent college in India accepting CUET scores. 

Q:   Is the CUET exam conducted in online mode?

A:

From the year 2021 onwards, CUET is conducted in computer-based mode. Till 2020, the exam was conducted in paper-pencil based (PBT) mode. The exam will continue to be conducted in the computer-based mode or online mode. As per the CUET exam pattern, the exam was conducted in two to three slots, depending on the number of applications received in a subject. There were three sections on Language, Domain Subject and General Test (optional). The number of questions and marks will vary from paper to paper. 

Q:   Can open students give CUET exam?

There is no restriction on the candidates based on their age or gender for appearing in the CUET entrance exam. Candidates who have passed class 12 can apply for the CUET exam. As per the instructions of the National Testing Agency in 2022, candidates are allowed to appear in the examination only once. Candidates who will fail the exam in 2022 will have to wait for their chance in the next year. However, from 2023 onwards, the number of attempts may increase depending on the situation.

Commerce students can also pursue various professional courses after completing class 12th. Candidates will be required to appear for the entrance or foundation-level examination conducted by institutes for entry to desired courses. Some of the top courses after class 12 are:

  • ICSI CS: Company Secretary or ICSI CS course is a three-level course viz; Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET), CS Executive, and CS Professional. CS degree is equivalent to a graduate degree.
  • ICAI CA: Chartered Accountant or ICAI CA is a three-level course viz; CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CS Final. Qualifying CA courses will be considered equivalent to a post-graduate degree.
  • CFA: Chartered Financial Analyst or CFA is conducted in three levels viz. Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Qualifying CFA course is also considered equivalent to a post-graduate degree.
  • CMA: Certified Management Accountant or CMA course is also conducted in three levels viz; CMA Foundation, CMA Intermediate, CMA Final course.
