JNU Admission Through CUET 2024: Jawaharlal Nehru University will release the CUET JNU 2024 first cutoff anytime soon. It will be published online at www.jnu.ac.in. The varsity is also expected to release the CUET JNU 2024 second cutoff on August 27, 2024. The application process for JNU Admission through CUET 2024 was closed on August 12, 2024. For admission to JNU through CUET 2024, the candidates must have appeared for the CUET exam and submitted online JNUE CUET admission application. NTA released the CUET UG Result 2024 on July 28, 2024. Jawaharlal Nehru University offers admission to its UG and Certificate programs through entrance tests such as the JNU Exam, CUET UG exam, JEE Mains etc. JNU is expected to hold the JNU admission counselling through CUET 2024 in August 2024.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency to offer admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) level Programmes in Central Universities, State Universities and other participating Universities / Institutions/organizations / Autonomous Colleges. Students can find details related to JNU admission online on the official website. National Testing Agency (NTA) held the CUET Exam 2024 from May 15, 2024, to May 24, 2024, in three slots.

Q:   How many seats are offered through CUET UG counselling?

A:

The precise count of available seats in CUET UG counselling remains uncertain, though it is estimated to be approximately 10,000 seats. Seat availability fluctuates depending on the course and university that candidate has applied for. For instance, Delhi University provides around 71,000 CUET UG seats. CUET UG 2024 saw participation from 44 central universities and 69 state and deemed universities, offering over 300,000 undergraduate programme seats. These universities provide a range of courses, including biotechnology, chemistry, commerce, arts and English. The number of CUET UG counseling rounds differs among universities, with an average of three rounds per university.

Q:   How to apply for counselling after CUET?

A:

After obtaining the CUET results, candidates will be able to apply for CUET counselling for various participating universities. To apply for CUET UG counselling, candidates can follow the process below;

  • Register for the CUET cousnelling process on official website of participating university
  • Fill the CUET UG admission application form like CSAS UG for DU, BHU UET application form for BHU and so forth.
  • Upload the CUET UG scorecard or enter the marks obtained in the eligible subjects
  • Declaration of admission status/ CUET cut off
  • Visit the university for verification of documents and pay the admission fee

Q:   When will the CUET UG counselling process commence?

A:

CUET UG counselling process schedule is announced by the participating universities after the declaration of CUET results. The process will be conducted separately by the universities and it will not be a centralised counselling system. The CUET 2025 counselling process will have the following stages:

  • Each participating institute will release its individual rank list of candidates who are eligible to participate in the counselling process of CUET 2025.
  • Candidates will have to register online and then appear in online counselling followed by offline counselling.
  • Upon seat allotment, candidates will have to pay the admission fee and report to institutes to accept the admission offer.

Q:   Can I get other colleges from CUET counselling that I haven't listed on my application?

A:
Hi, No, you cannot get into colleges that you have not listed in your counseling application. 1. The CUET counseling process is done after the exam to allot colleges to qualified students in participatory universities. 2. Once the CUET exam results are announced by the NTA the respective Central Universities will declare their counseling schedule. 3. You will be required to participate in the counseling process at your preferred university. The university will assign you to a college based on your score and preferences. 4. If you have not listed any college, you will not get a seat allocation in that college even if you meet the qualifying cutoff. And if it helps you like it.

Q:   What is CUET UG counselling?

A:

CUET UG counselling refers to the allocation of seats based on the scores obtained in CUET UG and cut off criteria. It involves the steps such as registration, uploading of documents, entering course preferences and colleges (if applicable). Once the CUET results are declared, universities under CUET UG begins the CUET UG counselling registration online. Candidates must ensure to stay updated with the CUET counselling dates and check the CUET cut off lists.

Q:   What documents are required during BHU CUET counselling registration?

A:

During the registration procedure, candidates need to upload scanned copies of a few important documents. The documents must be in PDF/JPEG format. Further, the documents to be uploaded are:

  • Matriculation or its equivalent certificate
  • Class 12 mark sheet
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and income certificate (SC/ST) issued by the appropriate authority
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)
  • BHU employee certificate (if applicable)
  • Certificate if admission under sports quota is claimed
  • Scanned copy of a recent colour photograph & signature

Q:   When will be CUET UG counselling be conducted?

A:

CUET UG 2025 counselling will be conducted seperately by each participating institute. CUET 2025 accepting colleges/universities releases the CUET UG 2025 counselling application form. Candidates must fill the application form to appear for the admission process. On the basis of the details entered by the candidates, merit list or cut off list is prepared. The link to apply for CUET UG participating universities will be updated soon after the release of notification.

Q:   Who is eligible to register for CUET-UG counselling?

A:
CUET Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in CUET counselling. The eligibility criteria for CUET UG are:
  • Student must have at least 50% in their 12th grade for the general category and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates must be of Indian nationality.
Candidates must carry their Class X, Class XII, and CUET scorecards for the CUET UG 2025 counselling process. They must also bring other necessary documents, such as:
  • Qualifying examination certificate
  • Transfer certificate
  • Conduct certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • Reservation category certificate
  • Photocopies of original documents

Steps to Fill JNU Application Form 2024

Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and click on the JNUEE/JNU CUET. Thereafter, click the link that reads “Fill Application Form for JNUEE/JNU CUET 2024”.

Step 2: Register by providing the required details such as name, contact details etc.

Step 3: Fill the application form while providing personal details, contact details, Income details, academic record details etc.

Step 4: Upload the required documents and pay the required application fee.

Step 5: Now, submit the application form. In the end, applicants should download the submitted application form and keep it safe for future use.

Jawaharlal Nehru University admission through CUET 2024: Merit List

After completing the JNU counselling application, Jawaharlal Nehru University will release a JNU admission merit list. The varsity prepares the JNU UG Merit List based on the CUET score. While preparing the merit list, JNU considers the marks secured by the candidates in CUET 2024 and reservation criteria. The varsity will release the final merit list on its official website. Once released, Candidates can check the merit list online at jnu.ac.in. Candidates are also suggested to check the course-specific CUET merit list for JNU admissions 2024.

CUET 2024 Seat Allotment for Jawaharlal Nehru University

After releasing the final merit list, JNE will prepare the seat allotment list for admission to its UG and COP programs. Candidates will be able to download the JNU seat allotment list from the official website of JNU. Along with the seat allotment list, JNU will also release the provisional admission letter. The candidates will be required to use their login ID and password to be able to download the seat allotment list of JNU. Once the admission letter is downloaded, candidates need to complete the admission process by paying the course admission fee.
