Q: Does CUET require OBC certificate?
Yes, OBC candidates applying for CUET must upload the OBC-NCL certificate in online CUET application form. The OBC-NCL certificate must be issued in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India. If candidate fail to upload the OBC-NCL certificate (issued on or after 01 April, 2024) at the time of CUET 2025 registration, then in such case they will have to upload a declaration in lieu of OBC-NCl certificate to that effect.
Candidates belonging to reserved categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by Government of India. However, in the case of central universities admission, the reservation criteria of the respective university shall be applicable.

University of Hyderabad admission through CUET 2024: Application Process
Admissions to the 5-Year Integrated PG programs for the Academic Year 2024 at the University of Hyderabad will be done through the Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) -2024. Candidates desiring to apply to the 5-Year Integrated PG programs of the University have to appear for the Domain and Language papers as mentioned in column ‘D’ below. The CUET domain and language papers are categorized as CORE and QUALIFYING for clarity.
Q: How do I select the domain subjects for CUET UG?
Before selecting the test or domain subjects, candidates are advised to visit the official website of university/organaisation they wish to apply for. Candidates must check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. Candidates will be able to opt for one or more tests as per the requirement of the course and university from the following sections:
- Section I - 13 Languages
- Section II - 23 Domain Specific Subjects
- Section III - General Test
It is not mandatory to choose any one or more of the tests stated above. The choice of tests would depend on the course/s opted by the candidate and the University / Organization / Institution where admission is sought.
Q: Can I opt for several subjects in section II of CUET to apply for various courses?
Yes, an CUET applicant can opt for one or more combinations of the following:
- Section I: Language Test
- Section II: Domain subject test
- Section III: General Aptitude Test
Candidates will be able to opt up to a maximum of five subjects in order to apply to different applicable courses that require these subjects for being eligible for admissions. Candidates can choose subjects irrresptive of subjects studied in 12th grade under their eligibility conditions for a particular programme.
Q: What is the minimum marks required for BHU in CUET?
BHU admission 2023 to the undergraduate courses is based on CUET UG scores. BHU merit list 2023 for CUET UG has been released. As per BHU cutoff 2023, the minimum CUET UG cutoff score was 152 for B.A. in Sanskrit, followed by 158 for B.A. (Hons.) in Home Science. During the BHU Round 1 Seat Allotment result, the minimum cutoff score stood at 176 for BA in Sanskrit programme.
Talking about the BHU maximum cutoff score 2023, B Sc (Hons) Agriculture became the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 506.

For admission to the desirous University/Institution, the candidates must appear in CUET 2025 in the Languages and Domain Specific subjects as per the Program-Specific Eligibility for which s (he) is desirous to take admission. For instance if candidate wishes to apply for B.Com (Hons.) programe in Delhi University he/she will be required to make the subject combination as :
Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy/Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
Candidates are advised to check CUET programme specific eligibility criteria before filling the application form, failing which they will not qualify for further admission process.
A. Core Papers: The merit list for the Integrated PG programs will be determined based on the scores of the candidates in the paper/s identified as core paper/s. A rank list for admission will be prepared in the order of merit of score in the core paper/s.
B. Qualifying Papers: Candidates are required to score a minimum cut-off of 50 marks in the qualifying papers (35 marks for IMA Hindi, IMA Urdu and IMA Telugu) to be considered for admission to the Integrated PG programs. Only those candidates who score minimum cut-off marks in the qualifying papers will be considered for admission, irrespective of their scores in the core paper/s. The marks scored in the qualifying papers will not affect the rank.
Note: University of Hyderabad reserves the right to increase or decrease the minimum cut-off to decide on the number of candidates to be called for admission counselling.
