After CTET exam is conducted candidates need to meet CTET cutoff in order to qualify the teacher eligibility test. CTET 2018 cutoff is the minimum marks that any candidate needs to secure in order to qualify the teacher eligibility test.

Once CTET results are declared. Candidates need to ensure that they meet CTET cut offs. Here, aspirants need to ensure that they secure at least 60% marks in their Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Any candidate who does not manage to secure 60% in CTET 2018 would not be considered to have qualified the teacher eligibility test. In addition to this criteria, aspirants would need to secure 90 marks in each subject of CTET paper in order to clear that specific subject as well as the exam as a whole.

Although no official CTET cutoff has been released by the authorities. However, aspirants can go through cut offs for CTET exam released by coaching centre experts.

CTET is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in order to shortlist candidates to be appointed as teachers. Candidates who have qualified Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) are eligible to teach Class I to Class VIII. A point to note here is that it is not necessary that any candidate who clears CTET exam would be hired as a teacher at a school. CTET is simply a qualifying exam, after clearing this exam candidates need to apply for teaching job posts at respective schools and thereafter go through the independent shortlisting criteria of that specific school to be hired as a teacher.

CTET 2018 exam pattern is such that the test comprises of two papers, which are – Paper I and Paper II. Aspirants who want to teach students from Class I to Class V need to attempt Paper I whereas Paper II needs to be given by aspirants who want to teach Class VI to Class VIII. As part of CTET exam paper, candidates need to attempt a total of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in two and a half hours duration.
