It is a good college to purse MBA in Shipping.
Placements: Placements for our batch and our senior batch were good. The placement cell was effective and placed the whole MBA batch except a few students with irregularities. Around 8 companies visited the college during the final year. We were asked to get internships on our own. The salaries depend on the academic background and interpersonal skills of students.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and its speed is different in different blocks. We did not face any issues with the infrastructure. There are separate hostels for Indian and international students. The food provided is okay. The college management considered our request to provide new labs.
Faculty: The faculty members were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching was good, and the teaching methodology was good and effective. Soft skill classes and workshops are conducted for students, and we had adequate teaching faculty members. We also got industry exposure.

They are provided with over 20,000 books in the library. Computer labs, Wi-Fi campus, sports ground, extracurricular activities are provided to the students.
Faculty: The faculty is usually very much experienced in the corporate sector and are equally competent to impart the students with the challenge and other opportunities for making them industry ready. The logistics industry is very rapid and dynamic, so to cope with the growing standard, the faculty have to be more specific and focused, so they impart the essential knowledge.

Other: The best thing about AMET, it is purely for Maritime courses. Specialized courses are the biggest strength of AMET. And the location was great!!! ECR!!! We Love AMET!!! Excellent Faculties!!! Excellent People!!! Great Location!!! The college houses competitive cross-section of more than 2500-3000 students. There is a good mix of students from different parts of the country and from outside. Students have a very healthy atmosphere to learn and interact here. Seniors are supportive and there is no kind of ragging done here. The placement cell at AMET is very robust. The average package offered is around Rs 8.50 lakhs p.a. and the highest package is about Rs. 16 Lakhs p.a. AMET has 90% placement in 2014. Recruiters who visited the campus last year include Mearsk, NYK, Shell, etc.

Other: It's a normal college but as per course this college having unique compared from other shipping in India. Location is good near to ECR beach. College infrastructure is good and canteen too. For MBA Course subjects will good and crouching will average. From outside, teachers will come, but knowledge wise it is average university. Campus interview are not good. They will do eyewash that many companies came and students are selected. Everything is depends upon the market conditions and shipping industry. For MBA this is not a right college.
