Review of Aligarh Muslim University .
Placements: Almost 90% of the students who are pursuing B.A. (Hons) geography don't want to go through placement because they want to prepare for civil service exams or preparation for PG and Ph.D. from geography. But there are a lot of placement opportunities from AMU.
Infrastructure: Hostels are free with proper free Wi-Fi facilities all over the campus and have a separate place for complaints if any need arises. They used to maintain hygiene in hostels properly. Food is moderate, but the cost of food is like 15 rupees a day that contains breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They provide proper labs for experiments and proper instruments for the practical and lab.
Faculty: All the teaching staff are well-qualified Ph.D. holders and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is perfect because they all are experienced. There are almost every course available at this university with the best teaching professionals. Semester exams are not so easy because there are a lot of things you have to study, but they are also not very difficult to pass. Min 35 to 40 percent marks out of 100 you need to score in your semesters to pass it.
Other: As I am a new student here, I got a lot of help from my faculty and my senior. They all are like your brother. I choose this course because geography is a subject where I can learn about everything in our surroundings. There is almost nothing that needs to change in my course. My campus organizes many social activities, and I can say that at least 1 activity will happen in a week.

Expert professionals are utilized to teach.
Placements: Actually, in B.A. courses, there are no placements. However, in other courses, e.g., B.Ed., MBA, there are enough placements. Several MNCs come to campus for recruitment. Although when a student obtains a master’s degree or Ph.D., it will be easier for them to be recruited.
Infrastructure: My university has extremely good infrastructure. When you enter the university, you will find clean roads and plenty of greenery. We have the Maulana Azad Library. Although the conditions of the hostels are pitiable, the university has nice and well-managed buildings otherwise.
Faculty: Yes, our teachers are highly qualified, but some of them are not effective in their teaching methods. We have plenty of teachers who are the best in their respective fields. Particularly in my department, the teachers are well-knowledgeable and helpful. Exams are also up-to-date.

Good placements but bad hostel facility.
Placements: Amu 2020 B.A. Hons Geography Graduate. Average package was 2.5 LPA, the lowest 1.5 LPA, the highest 5Lpa, recruiters included government agencies, and Internships in research & Planning. Roles: geographer, urban planner, Gis Analyst. Enriching experience overall.
Infrastructure: Facilities for B.A. hons geography was subpar. Slow Wi-Fi, outdated labs, classrooms needed improvement. Library was satisfactory. Hostel facilities were below par, food quality in mess and canteen could be better. Basic medical and sports facilities. Room for significant improvement.
Faculty: Teachers were knowledgeable but lacked consistency in helpfulness. Teaching quality was moderate. Curriculum was somewhat relevant, but more focus on industry readiness needed. Semester exams were easy but arrangement is a mess, pass rate is average of around 70 percent .
