Strong faculty and well designed course structure .
Placements: The 2022 FYUP batch of B.A. Hons. Linguistics achieved 60% placements, an average package of INR 4.8 LPA, the highest at INR 8.5 LPA, and the lowest at INR 3.2 LPA. The top recruiters are language research firms. In educational institutions, 40% got internships at the Cambridge Language Centre and Rosetta Stone. Key roles offered are language specialists, linguistic analysts, etc.
Infrastructure: The Department of Linguistics offers commendable infrastructure with a good lab, a seminar library, and a Wi-Fi facility. Hostel facilities are almost all covered, although the food quality in the mess and canteen could be improved. Adequate medical facilities and sports amenities add to the overall experience.
Faculty: The teachers are supportive, knowledgeable, and qualified. The course curriculum is well-designed, keeping industry requirements in mind, and is according to national education policy. The semester exams are easy. The IPA part, however, is difficult as it requires practice.

Great faculty at the Department of Linguistics at AMU.
Placements: I'm from the 2022 batch of AMU, pursuing a B.A. Hons. in Linguistics. Around 85% of students were placed, with the highest package at INR 6 LPA, the lowest at INR 3.5 LPA, and an average of INR 4.8 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, and Accenture. About 70% secured internships at firms like Lingocorp and Language Matters. The top roles offered are linguistic analyst, content writer, and language specialist.
Infrastructure: The Linguistic Department offers excellent facilities like WI-FI, well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms, and a rich library. Hostel facilities are decent, food in the mess is satisfactory, the canteen has a good variety at affordable prices, and there are medical services available. Sports and games are encouraged with adequate provisions. Overall, there is a comfortable learning environment.
Faculty: The teachers were knowledgeable and generally helpful in the department of linguistics. The teaching quality was good. The curriculum is relevant but needs more industry-oriented content. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of around 70%.

Quite dissatisfied because of unequal opportunities for B.A. courses as compared to other courses.
Placements: So basically, there are about 25-30 students enrolled in this course, and none of them willingly took it, including me. The placement of this course is below average; you have to study really hard to get better placement; otherwise, you won't be able to achieve much rather than a degree.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for this course is comparatively low, and in college you would hardly find books related to this course. And if I talk about the hostel, it is far better than the other universities; you can easily accommodate the hostel facility as there are sufficient seats in the hostel, especially for the B.A. course like linguistics. And the quality of food is also satisfactory and hygienic. I will recommend you for this.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, except a few. And the teaching quality is okay, but it could have been better. And if we talk about the semester, it feels like the semester came too quickly, and there isn't enough time. The exams are a bit difficult because there's limited time, but the passing percentage isn't very high. You can pass easily if you study carefully.
Other: I didn't choose this course; I was given it. Few things could be better about this course than making it more practical rather than theoretical. And there are very few fests here; when they do happen, they are quite boring.

Diverse roles like linguistic analyst, Language Specials, Content Writers Highlight course versatility.
Infrastructure: Facilities for B.A. Hons Linguistics were average. WI-Fi, labs classrooms, and library MET basic needs. Hostel facilities needed improvement. Mess and Canteen food were acceptable. Medical services were available, sports option were limited. Overall, a mixed environment for learning and living.
Faculty: Teachers were knowledgeable and supportive, enhancing teaching quality. Curriculum was relevant, though more industry integration would be benebeneficialmester exams were of medium difficult but promoted learning through understanding. Pass percentage was commendable, reflection balanced evaluation .

College provides us with internships for a better future and experience.
Placements: B.A. Hons Linguistics is a scientific study of language. After graduation, no placement can be offered in this course; we do M.A. after M.A., which has many options for career opportunities in this course. And this course is very rare; most of the universities can't conduct this course.
Infrastructure: In linguistics department, the infrastructure is very good and also provides Wi-Fi, labs, and a seminar hall. In hostels, food quality is very better in mess and canteen. And in campus there are various grounds for playing games like cricket, swimming, etc.
Faculty: Teachers behavior is very good and supportive as is that of non-teaching staff. There are experienced teachers in our department. Sem exams are not difficult if we prepared well, and the pass percentage is 33%. And colleges also provides scholarships for financially weak students.
